The evolution of HTC flagships from A to Z. The evolution of HTC flagships from A to Z. More in less

01.10.2021 Complications

Long before its official release, HTC U11 became the subject of rumors and discussions, which confirms the interest of users in the model. No wonder: with the U series, the company introduced a fresh approach to appearance devices of the older line and a number of new technologies. The flagship is made within the framework of a new design concept and is equipped with top-end hardware. Most recently I tried U Ultra - the model left a pleasant impression on me. Of course, I relied on them when testing U11. In this review, I would like to abstract from comparisons with the flagships of other manufacturers (even if they suggest themselves, but there are enough of them in other reviews), and tell you specifically about the ease of use of the device in everyday life.

Design

It's interesting that HTC designers managed to form the first impression of the smartphone... with packaging. Literally, on a tactile level. It's like a spoiler for the content. You hold it in your hands and realize that there is something unusual inside. Now little attention is paid to this, because the box is a consumable item. Apparently the manufacturer doesn't think so.

Let's move on to the device itself. The main feature of the model – the back cover – still causes a wow effect. Today you won’t surprise anyone with a “glass” design, but HTC, in my opinion, does it great. Moreover, if you compare U11 with U Ultra and U Play, it is the flagship that looks the most serious. By the way, 4 color options for the device have already gone on sale: black, blue, light blue and white. Red color will also be available soon.

The exterior of the model can be called seasoned and balanced. At the same time, the smartphone turned out to be quite weighty. The sloping edges of the case fit nicely in the palm of your hand, all the parts fit exactly, there are no backlashes or creaks to speak of even when you try to twist the case. The smartphone is large, like most devices with a diagonal of 5.5 inches; not everyone can operate it with one hand.

By the way, I have liked “glass” design almost since its appearance in smartphones. The tactile sensations from working with it are pleasant; after that, I personally don’t feel comfortable picking up models made of rough aluminum. Yes, many devices are “stained” with fingerprints no worse than the hero of the review, on some it is less noticeable, but even on the white U11 the fingerprints are almost invisible.

However, after a week of use, you stop paying attention to the soiling, and if you put the complete bumper on the body, you can completely forget about it. True, it will also hide the highlight of the design. The case is protected from dust and moisture according to the IP67 standard, which means you can take it to the shower, to the beach, and even shoot video underwater (up to 1m depth).

There is nothing special about the layout of the controls. The side buttons have a different texture, a clear click and a short stroke. The sensors under the screen (backlit) are placed more conveniently than in the U Ultra, thumb falls on them naturally. The fingerprint scanner works lightning fast and accurately recognizes the owner's finger.

At the bottom end there is a speakerphone, a microphone and a connector USB Type-C. The top end is equipped with a slot for SIM cards/memory cards. The solution is already familiar, you can use 2 SIMs in nano format or one SIM and one microSD card with a capacity of up to 2TB. It is noteworthy that some manufacturers are already producing trays with the ability to use 2 communication cards and a memory card.

There are 4 omnidirectional microphones on the body. One microphone is located above the screen, between the earpiece and the front camera. There are also sensors and a notification sensor here.

The frame between the back and front panels is metal, it is painted in the color of the model (in the white version the frame is not painted). But the frames around the screen are perhaps the first disappointment in this model. While other manufacturers are bending over backwards to enlarge the display, HTC is going the beaten path, making not only the side frames wide, but also the top and bottom frames. It is clear that in all of them there are elements of user interaction. But if the presence of Edge Sense technology somehow justifies the width of the side frames, then the size of the rest is difficult to justify.

Display

...and yet, the display on the HTC U11 is excellent. The advantages of a modern IPS matrix (SuperLCD 5) are obvious: excellent color rendition and brightness, maximum viewing angles. Quad HD resolution is a controversial issue: not everyone needs “printed” image quality (pixel density - 534 PPI), and this does not affect power consumption in the best possible way. However, this is the price for the flagship title.

Many smartphone owners love the color rendition of AMOLED matrices - for them, the rich display image will be a joy. The color gamut exceeds sRGB, but it is planned to introduce a mode with realistic colors.

In addition, it is possible to control the color temperature. I wrote about this in the U Ultra review, and I want to get a little more boring: now the night mode can synchronize with the time of sunset and dawn! During testing, the display regularly “yellowed” in unison with the sunset every day, matching the warm evening lighting in my home. I recommend trying it :)

Spoiler

The brightness reserve is decent - under the sun the image is perfectly readable even in manual brightness adjustment mode. Auto mode raises brightness to maximum (500 cd/m2). The display is protected by 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The oleophobic coating is much better than on the back cover, fingerprints appear slower, and the finger glides easily over the surface. Glove and gesture controls are supported.

Performance and autonomy

Judging by the hardware, the device will easily cope with any applications and the most “heavy” games for several years. This will be provided by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform (64-bit processor with 8 cores, with a frequency of up to 2.45 GHz) and Adreno 540 graphics. There is also plenty of memory - in my case it is 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage (in the younger version 4/ 64 GB). Coupled with support for microSD cards up to 2 TB, the smartphone can easily lay claim to the title of portable media storage.

Spoiler

I note that the smartphone is very fast, all applications are installed instantly, games load quickly. The operation of the communication module and other wireless modules is also satisfactory. In a word - everything is at the highest level.

During games, the back cover of the device heats up in the camera area. The temperature is not critical, but noticeable.

Spoiler

The HTC U11 uses a 3000 mAh battery. Of course, many are accustomed to charging their smartphone every night, but manufacturers decided to wean us off this. HTC is apparently relying on the platform's technical process (10nm), its power consumption, and optimization of Android (to which the hero of the review will soon be updated). True, at the moment I got only one day of work with active load from 8:00 to 00:00:

  • Wi-fi/4G alternately throughout the day, music in the included noise-cancelling headphones - 1 hour, the same amount of conversations, a little viewing of videos/photos and camera operation. The total screen glow time was about 6 hours.

Charging to 50% takes 40 minutes, to 100% - 1 hour 45 minutes, and the last 5% takes the longest to charge (this indicates a decrease in the power supply voltage to protect the battery from wear and tear).

You can work some magic on the system, disable/delete unnecessary applications, configure energy saving and mode change settings, and then battery life will increase to a day. But will you do it?..

Cameras

...you'll likely use the U11 to its fullest! If only because the cameras in it are really good. I won’t talk about the highest score in DxO for the hundredth time, I’ll just note a couple of key features, and then just look at these photos.

Spoiler

Naturally, best photos from the main camera are obtained during the day. High-aperture optics (f/1.7 aperture) and a 12 MP back-illuminated sensor (HTC UltraPixel 3 technology with a pixel size of 1.4 microns) work well in the evening, but you can’t escape noise at night.

Photo during the day

Photo in the evening

Automation adequately perceives the surrounding atmosphere, but there is also a mode with an abundance of manual settings and support for the RAW format. It is possible to reduce evening noise to a minimum by processing the uncompressed original, but it will require inspiration and patience. Optical stabilization and phase detection autofocus are present, but you shouldn’t expect miracles with perfect focusing on moving objects.

Spoiler

It’s nice that the device does not increase the contrast and sharpness of photos programmatically, leaving them almost in their original form. Many other manufacturers do this, but I personally don’t like it. I prefer to process it myself, if on a smartphone, then at least in Snapseed, and better yet, on a computer, since shooting in RAW frees up my hands.

Microphones scattered throughout the body can record sound in two modes: HiRes and 3D. When you zoom while shooting, the “acoustic focus” effect is activated - the sound of the subject is highlighted. In reality, it happens like this: if without zoom the sound from the microphones is recorded in stereo, then when focusing the channels are combined, and the loudest sound comes to the fore, usually the object on which we are focusing.

Front-camera– a worthy representative of his family. The f/2.0 aperture and 16MP BSI sensor allow you to take social-worthy selfies. There is a panoramic shooting mode (goodbye selfie stick), and a flash due to the short-term glow of the screen. By the way, such a flash scatters light more interestingly than its diode counterparts and does not overexpose the photo.

operating system

HTC U11 runs Android 7.1.1 and HTC Sense shell. There are no striking differences from U Ultra, the menu logic is the same, but there are more themes and “wallpapers” for desktops. Sense Companion has become smarter - it synchronized with saved data from the HTC account. There is a sense - the application tells you when to take the umbrella, charge the battery, what is the progress in the distance traveled. But for some reason I didn’t receive any reminders from the Google calendar, although the settings had permission to synchronize with it.

For example, a short squeeze will launch Google Now, a long squeeze will launch the camera. You can select one of three sensitivity levels to ensure comfortable operation and reduce erroneous clicks to a minimum. I set it to maximum, and only after that it became convenient to perform actions using compressions. Although, now I reflexively squeeze my own smartphone :)

Sound

I talked about the sound in the included headphones in the previous review, and I won’t say anything new - the transparency is high, there is no search for frequencies. HTC USonic still efficiently picks up and “cuts off” noise reflected from the ear using built-in microphones. The same thing happens when talking on the phone - the microphones on the body clear the dialogue from extraneous noise, and the interlocutor hears mainly your voice.

The redesigned BoomSound system is another cool feature that can eliminate the use portable acoustics. The fact is that the speaker in speakerphone mode (or playing media content) plays the role of a high-frequency emitter, while the speakerphone plays the role of a low-frequency emitter. The stereo balance leans toward the woofer, but the sound is very loud and well-developed.

The absence of a 3.5 mm jack is compensated for by the included adapter (USonic does not work in this case), but this causes criticism from music lovers. For me this is not critical - I use a separate player to listen to music. Therefore, if the cable wears out, you will simply have to replace the headphones; fortunately, they should be on sale.

conclusions

I would call the flagship of the U line a non-standard solution. This is a mixture of innovation and classics in one bottle, with some caveats. It looks great - but at the same time has wide frames, fits comfortably in the hand - but gets dirty quickly, powerful - but I would like to charge it less often (although this is the norm for flagships). However, there is one plus that compensates for all the “buts” - the price. HTC U11 is cheaper than Samsung flagships and iPhone, but its camera is really better, and other characteristics do not let us down. As a result, for everyone who wants something original, fresh, with power reserves for several years to come, HTC U11 is a must-have.

Advantages:

  • Original design;
  • One of the best mobile cameras;
  • Decent sound, both in headphones and speakers;
  • Great screen;
  • Price.

Flaws:

  • Marking of the case;
  • Wide frames around the screen;
  • I would like to increase the battery capacity.

I thank the company “” for providing me with a smartphone for testing.

HTC completed its presentation in Taipei a few minutes ago, during which it presented new flagship Chinese smartphone. Early rumors about the name of the new product and its main functional features were confirmed. The fresh HTC U11 received a glass 3D design in the style of the U line and top-end specifications, and the main feature of the flagship is smart edges called Edge Sense.

The diagonal of the HTC U11 screen is 5.5 inches with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels (Quad HD), technology - Super LCD 5. The protective glass is Gorilla Glass 5 - the latest generation of panels from Corning. The hardware platform is no different from most of this year's flagships - 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB random access memory, 64 GB of user memory and a 3,000 mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The international model of HTC U11 will also be released in a 6/128 GB version.

The Taiwanese manufacturer paid a lot of attention to cameras and sound in the U11. The flagship received a 12-megapixel UltraPixel 3 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, optical image stabilization (OIS), dual LED flash, support for 4K video recording, as well as Slow-Mo in Full HD resolution at 120 frames per second. The front camera has a higher resolution - 16 megapixels. It is capable of recording 1080p video and boasts a Selfie Panorama mode for taking wide selfie photos. In terms of audio, the U11 features BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition stereo speakers with Hi-Res and USonic technology. Also, four built-in microphones allow you to record full 3D audio.

The main feature of HTC U11 is a touch-sensitive metal frame with Edge Sense technology. Thanks to it, you can perform some actions simply by squeezing your smartphone in your hand. For example, you can launch the camera, take a selfie, or call voice assistant Google Assistant. In the Edge Sense settings, the user can specify what actions will be performed to compress the smartphone.

The new HTC flagship runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with the proprietary Sense interface. The U11 case is IP67 protected, so the device can be submerged in water up to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. Supported wireless interfaces: Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, NFC, GPS, GLONASS and 4G with support for gigabit LTE networks. The 3.5mm headphone jack has been removed, but the HTC U11 comes with an adapter. Charging and audio port - USB Type-C.

Pre-orders for the HTC U11 smartphone open from today, May 16, and will last until June 9. The start date for mass sales has not been announced, but deliveries will begin this month. The official international prices of the flagship are €749 and £649. In Russia, HTC U11 will cost approximately 38 or 42 thousand rubles, depending on the model (64/128 GB). The new product will go on sale in five glossy colors: Amazing Silver (silver), Sapphire Blue (blue), Brilliant Black (black), Ice White (white) and Solar Red (red).

The Taiwanese company HTC has existed for about 20 years. Behind a short time she achieved several victories worthy of admiration. The failures of the latest flagships have somewhat cooled the love of the brand's fans. Therefore, the company’s engineers did a lot of work, scrupulously checking all the details that a real flagship smartphone should have. There are high hopes for the “top ten”.

Appearance and assembly of HTC 10

Externally, the flagship repeats the image of its predecessors, starting with the beloved One M7 by many fans. Nothing like copying Apple's style, which some leading phone manufacturers are guilty of, just a proprietary design. The contour features are recognizable: the shapes and contours are still the same. Only the finishing of the case material differs. Its metal back is framed by a polished edge with neat plastic inserts for antennas.

The device retains the high-quality, impeccable method of assembly and processing of HTC materials, the same as in the once popular models M7, M8.

Top end with plastic insert for improved reception weak signal contains 3 antennas at once.

The front side is protected by glass with a 2.5D effect.

In Russia, you can buy XTS10 in two traditional body colors: silver and black.

The dimensions of the smartphone are comparable to the M9. This is a compact phone with a screen diagonal of 5.2 inches. The design is more progressive and beautiful: the image on the display fits organically into the frames; now there are no wide margins along the edges due to the abandonment of the proprietary “triple frame TM” technology. This innovation made the device more elegant and neat.

The ergonomic shape of the case with beveled edges on the back side facilitates a comfortable and reliable grip in the palm of your hand.

The case material is durable and does not deform, but you can leave scratches on the back panel if you wish, so it is preferable to carry the phone in a branded case.

There are card slots on both sides of the case. This seems like overkill. Because you can insert microSD and nanoSIM into them, without other options. Thai developers have deprived the user of the ability to use Alternative option installation of two SIM cards. Modern mobile phones have long been equipped with hybrid slots; this is almost a standard.

A scanner is installed under the display instead of the usual touch-sensitive Home button. The fingerprint sensor works flawlessly, unlocking the phone is easy and quick - in just 0.2 seconds, you can place your finger at any angle. The owner will have to get used to not pressing the oval of the scanner like a key. This is not difficult to do, and the ease of use of this part is assessed very quickly.

Controlling the HTC 10 smartphone has significant differences from its previous brothers. There are no mechanical buttons on the sides of the scanner; instead, there are touch buttons, which make navigation more comfortable.

The corrugated power button on the right edge of the smartphone has been retained; it received special gratitude from users.

The front panel is clean, without unnecessary bells and whistles, logo and speaker grille.

Following the company's tradition, the new flagship received a branded case. Now this is not a “holey” Dot View, but a translucent Ice View. Its idea is the same: if you touch the front side of the case twice, a display image with basic information will appear on the screen. There is no need to turn on the gadget to find out the current date, time, and weather.

In general, having read the list of its specifications in the review of the XTC10 smartphone, we can say that comments are unnecessary: the newcomer corresponds to the spirit of the times, the developers have put into it the most advanced, up-to-date hardware that a demanding consumer may want.

Not only NTS devices are equipped with the Snapdragon 820 processor; it largely depends on how capable the manufacturer is of using the capabilities powerful processor fully. According to reviews from specialists and first buyers, everything in the “top ten” turned out flawlessly and better than anyone else.

Advantages and disadvantages of the XTS10 smartphone

The flagship smartphone has the following advantages:
  1. Both cameras, selfie and main, are equipped with optical stabilization, lenses with excellent aperture;
  2. Good, clear sound;
  3. Highest pixel density (564 pixels per inch);
  4. Impressive amount of RAM;
  5. Availability of slots for microSD and nanoSIM memory cards;
  6. High-quality fingerprint scanner;
  7. Innovative fast charging Quick Charge;
  8. Excellent performance;
  9. Dustproof properties of the case, wear resistance.
To be objective, let’s add a few disadvantages to the smartphone’s characteristics:
  • Non-removable battery of unimpressive capacity;
  • There is no universal slot for a second SIM card;
  • Lack of sufficient choice of body color options;
  • There is no protection against water getting inside the case;
  • High price.

HTC 10 performance and memory

The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 platform, delivering powerful smartphone performance and an excellent feature set with support for 4G LTE. Chipset - quad-core, Kryo CPU processors: 2 cores 2.15 GHz, 2 cores 1.6 GHz.

Qualcomm has released octa-core chipsets in the past. The new quad-core one works no worse, but better and faster, since all the main indicators have been improved. Energy consumption has become 70% more economical, and the performance of the Adreno 530 graphics module has increased by 40%.

An important indicator is the amount of RAM. For the “ten” it reaches 4 GB. It is precisely these technical indicators that allowed it to enter the TOP 10 smartphones with the highest performance. Korean and Taiwanese brands are on par in this parameter.

Even the lightweight version, the HTC 10 32gb (Lifestyle) smartphone, has a sufficient amount of built-in memory, plus flash memory in the microSD slot.

This gives the user every reason not to worry about the performance of the phone; he will not have problems with the interface, support for complex graphics, “heavy” toys and 4K video recording. Converting 12-bit photos from RAW format is very slow, but this is most likely the fault software than iron.

System and interface of the XTS10 smartphone

Of course operating system new flagship - Android 6.0, which will be updated over time to the most current version. This is Google's prediction, and it will make users happy.

Developers continue to improve their own HTC Sense shell, making it more intuitive, simpler visually, and bringing it closer to Android. There are no too drastic changes in it, but there are some nice features: the easy-to-use Boost+ application and the Freestyle interface.

Let's look at what the smart Boost+ application can do:

  1. Detect and remove “garbage” in the system. Android applications have a habit of accumulating a lot of unnecessary files in the file system bins that are not easy to filter out.
  2. Automatically replace Quad HD resolution with Full HD when launching mobile games. This allows you to save battery power and improve performance.
  3. Easy to remove software that has become unnecessary. In the App Manager file manager, just mark the files and press the virtual button.
  4. The most original feature of Boost+ is the security capabilities of App Lock. At the owner's request, protection from unwanted viewing is applied to information intended only for personal use. For example, social media, mail, instant messengers will be opened only with a graphic key or using a fingerprint.
Another new feature in the XTC10 interface is the design of the desktop according to the owner’s own wishes. You can create a mess to your liking, just like your Windows desktop. Refusal from the usual grid gives complete freedom in the arrangement of application icons and widgets on the screen.

The size of the traditional grid on the Tens display is small, only 4×4, which allows you to place 16 applications on one screen.

Screen of the flagship smartphone NTS 10

Both versions of the flagship smartphone, the full HTC 10 and the lightweight HTC 10 Lifestyle, are equipped with a 5.2” screen with a high-quality IPS matrix with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The display belongs to the 5th generation of proprietary Super LCD displays with Quad HD resolution.

The Super LCD 5 screen has the following advantages: wide horizontal viewing angles, clarity and excellent readability of characters, rich color rendition - 30% more shades, high margin of maximum brightness. Screen settings are made manually, or a profile is selected from two possible ones with the preferred color scheme.

The display is very responsive to touch. It accurately detects even light, quick touches and responds to them 50% faster than previous models.

HTC is trying its best to break away in technology from its powerful Korean rival Samsung. The display is an important part of a modern smartphone, and the developers relied on Super LCD, considered the best in the world. The screens of HTC flagships are famous for their quality, so the same is expected from the “ten”.

Front and rear cameras XTS10

As for cameras, here too the “ten” is equipped to the maximum. Although the power of cameras is determined not by the number of pixels, but by the quality of the images, here are their characteristics.

The cameras of the XTS10 device have undergone the greatest modernization by the developers. We can say with confidence that HTC has never done anything like this before.

The main 12 MP camera, if not superior to its analogues, then clearly looks no worse. It embodies the ultrapixel concept in full. Image stabilization, laser autofocus, dual LED flash are available. According to DxOMark, the HTC 10 camera received the highest score among popular smartphones.

The front-facing 5 MP ultra-pixel UltraSelfie module can be especially praised for its optical stabilization. HTC 10 is the first smartphone to have it in both the main and selfie cameras for high-quality self-portraits.

OIS allows the camera to take decent photographs using the Pro settings. Of course, not in comparison with professional DSLRs, but compared to competitors.

The much-hyped laser autofocus is somewhat disappointing. In terms of focusing speed, the camera is inferior to the flagship from Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, but better than LG. The white balance and frame elaboration are a bit lacking, noise is more noticeable, and errors in exposure occur.

Increasing detail (the size of one pixel is up to 1.55 nanometers) did not help improve the quality of shooting in low light conditions. In addition, the system constantly “swears” if the camera sensor is covered with a finger, which can also irritate the user.

But if you look at the photographs uncritically, then their quality is at the same level. The pictures are bright, the background is beautifully blurred, the foreground is clear, the pictures have depth and volume.

The sound of the HTC 10 smartphone speakers

The changes also affected the built-in speakers of the flagship smartphone. They received increased attention. A distinctive feature of the “ten” is the asymmetrical arrangement of the speakers, one on the front side, and the other, traditionally for smartphones, at the bottom at the end of the case. For One M line phones, both speakers are located on the front panel, which makes its use less economical.

The stereo effect from this position of the speakers did not become weaker. The problem was resolved by the ingenious decision of the developers to divide the areas of responsibility of the speakers. The role of the bottom speaker is to sound at low and mid frequencies. The company associates it with a subwoofer. The front speaker is a conversational speaker that reproduces high-frequency sounds.

Another non-trivial detail: each speaker is equipped with its own amplifier and 24-bit DAC with luxurious Hi-Res Audio sound. Listening to even familiar MP3 tracks will bring true pleasure to music lovers, because they sound as intended by the artist.

In general, the sound of the new device has become quieter, but better quality. Distortion is eliminated even at maximum volume, and frequencies are clearly separated.

Another pleasant surprise from NTS in the field of sound. The system prompts you to configure it the first time you turn on the device. Using headphones, listeners can create their own profiles, with the ability to adjust equalizers by answering simple test questions, that is, perform basic settings.

Much more interesting is fine tuning. It allows you to configure the desired frequency range in each earphone, listening to tracks and adjusting the sound to your liking.

All these innovations allow us to say that the “ten” has high-resolution sound, which is fully consistent with the high-quality headset included in the kit.

Battery life of XTS10

The XTS10 smartphone is designed to create a minimum of problems for its owner. The innovative USB Type-C connector is confidently walking around the planet. “Ten” also received a useful bonus. In this case, this is not an imitation of the popular connector with the old USB 2.0, but full support for the 3.1 protocol with all the advantages of fast information transfer.

A small drawback in the form of the lack of a newfangled cord for the mass consumer is compensated by an adapter to microUSB, or you just have to remember your own cord and always have it with you. Although the time for it to completely replace the outdated microUSB is not far off.

Manufacturers considered it unnecessary to equip their flagship with wireless charging. But Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging is present thanks to the Snapdragon 820 processor.

To fully restore the battery charge with a capacity of 3000 mAh, starting from 0, the smartphone only needs a little more than one hour. Of course, you should use only the “native” adapter for charging.

The gadget's manufacturers claim that their flagship can be fully operational for two days without recharging. In addition, they guarantee: watching Full HD quality videos - 9 hours, playing games - 4.5 hours, the Internet discharges the smartphone by 20% per hour of operation. Realities are usually more modest: you should count on a little over a day in offline mode, and then with screen activity for about 3.5 hours.

Price and video review of NTS 10

The new phone from the leading Taiwanese company is unique in its performance and characteristics. This is as it should be, because the company is going through difficult times due to serious competition in the mobile technology market and the growing power of worthy rivals: Samsung, Sony, LG. The Chinese company Xiaomi, which issues in Lately strong devices at a good price.

After the release of the last good, but not outstanding models, it was necessary to create something outstanding, for which the buyer would be willing to pay 59,990 rubles (699€), and this is not cheap. To be fair, it should be noted that the company’s previous flagship cost 50 € more.

Today in Russia the price smartphone NTS 10 is quite high and is about $700. In different regions of the CIS countries it ranges from 49,990 to 63,990 rubles. The phone went on sale in Russia in June of this year.

The cost of the lightweight version of the flagship Lifestyle smartphone is much lower - from 14,650.00 to 15,000.00 rubles. His appearance on Russian markets expected in the third quarter of 2016.

After the official launch, analysts predict a decline in prices for the “top ten”. The following factors contribute to this:

  • The devaluation of the yuan entails a reduction in the cost of components mobile devices. This is important due to the fact that the main components of the smartphone, as well as its assembly itself, are made primarily in China.
  • A decrease in stability in the traditional sales markets for NTS products, which will have a beneficial effect for Russia on the reduction in prices for the “top ten”.
  • Increasing competition in the smartphone manufacturing sector. Markets central Europe and the United States are oversaturated with electronic products, and only an affordable price will help attract buyers from developing countries.
In the meantime, the price tag is quite high due to the shortage of XTS 10 in Russia.

Below is a video review of the NTS 10 smartphone:

It is no coincidence that the new flagship smartphone received a capacious and memorable name - NTS 10 - instead of the logically expected one HTC One M10. With this, the Taiwanese company emphasizes significant changes in its One M line. This includes the introduction of new innovative developments into the “ten”, and an advertising campaign under the hash tag “Power of Ten”. Time will tell whether the smartphone will be able to become the very best, but the Taiwanese manufacturer has done everything for this. The gadget turned out to be original and interesting.
