Take the chicken and separate the breast meat and legs from the bones. cut the meat into small pieces. In total you will need about 500 grams of meat.

While the meat is cooking, cut one large tomato into small pieces.


Cut the white cabbage into thin long strips and knead well to give the cabbage softness and release a little juice.


We will also prepare iceberg lettuce

And Korean carrots (or carrots in Korean). I got it today with the addition of eggplant - I bought it in the store.


Now about the sauce.
I will divide shawarma into two types - with ketchup and with sauce made from sour cream, garlic and dill.

Add finely chopped garlic and dill with sour cream. I take the greens out of the freezer when they are ready.


Such a simple, but quite spicy and tasty sauce.

The filling is ready.
We take Armenian lavash. I buy lavash three pieces per package, each weighing 100 grams.


In total I will need 5 pita breads - I will cook five pieces of shawarma. Our filling is just enough for this.

Spread the pita bread and place the filling closer to the edge in any order, all to your taste and preference.
As for me, I post first sour cream sauce, then tomato, meat and all other ingredients.


But I try to add ketchup to the middle of the filling, but otherwise, it seems to me that it is unevenly distributed.


We put the filling in, now we begin to twist the filling, forming a roll and folding the edges so that everything fits tightly to each other.


Place the shawarma, seam side down from the pita bread, in a frying pan without oil, and heat the seam for 3-5 minutes until golden brown, so that the shawarma does not open. And we do this with each one. Nothing sticks to the pan.


This is such a delicious, homemade shawarma we got.
I especially like this filling.


And so, you can add cucumber, pepper, and Chinese cabbage, and onions - and everything you like so much! And it will always turn out very tasty even with ketchup, mayonnaise or some other topping. A win-win option, and a good, filling snack.

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages of thin Armenian lavash,
  • 3 chicken breasts,
  • 150-200 g white cabbage,
  • 150-200 g Korean carrots,

  • 5-6 pickled cucumbers,
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 100-150 g hard cheese.

For the sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons of ketchup,
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream,
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise,
  • 1 teaspoon paprika,
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic,
  • 1 bunch of dill,
  • vegetable oil for frying,
  • spices and salt to taste.

Preparation:

1. Cut chicken breast along, cover with cling film, beat well.

2. Cut the meat into thin strips, salt, pepper, sprinkle with spices and mix well.

3. Heat a frying pan well with vegetable oil, place the pieces chicken fillet and fry on all sides until golden brown.

4. Chop the cabbage thinly, add salt and knead well with your hands so that it releases the juice.

5. Cut fresh and pickled cucumbers into thin strips.

6. Wash the tomatoes and chop them not very finely.

7. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

8. Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, ketchup, paprika, pressed garlic and finely chopped dill. Mix thoroughly.

9. Cut each pita bread into three parts, resulting in 6 servings of shawarma.

Lubricate the center of each cut piece of lavash with the prepared sauce, then lay out cabbage, Korean carrots, chicken pieces, place fresh and pickled cucumbers, tomato slices on top and pour a small amount of sauce over everything. Place cheese on top.
