Black shadows are charm and elegance. Not every girl dares to do makeup with black shadows, because they imply a bright and shocking image. It is important to use them correctly, which requires training and knowledge of makeup techniques, otherwise black shadows look vulgar and sloppy.
How to apply black eye shadow to get a bright, elegant look? First of all, black eyeshadow doesn't suit everyone. If your appearance is delicate, light and you are not used to wearing black or bright things, black shadows will not work. Also, black shadows must be chosen of high quality, preferably professional ones - they will not roll, crumble, blend perfectly and lie on the eyelids beautifully and neatly.
Black shadows should be chosen for evening makeup. During the day, they prefer colored shadows, because in the evening color is no longer perceived and monochrome shadows are suitable to highlight and beautifully emphasize the shape of the eyes. Therefore, it is better to wear black eyeshadow in the evening or for a special event.
In makeup with black shadows, the emphasis is on the eyes, so choose soft lipstick and neutral shades.
Before you do this kind of makeup, you definitely need to tidy up your skin. All small wrinkles, spots and irregularities should be hidden under foundation and powder. Black shadows look great only in combination with the ideal skin tone.
The eyelids and skin under the eyes should be well powdered., if the shadows fall off, you can easily brush them off with a brush. If the skin is “bare” the shadows will simply smudge without special means There is no need to remove makeup here.
You will need:
Step 1-2 Apply black shadow to the entire movable area with a brush, moving slightly upward towards the tip of the eyebrow. Make sure that the shadows do not fall off. It is better to apply them with patting movements. Then put brown shadows on the brush and blend them - applying to the border of the black shadows. Also blend the edge of the brown eyeshadow with a clean brush, apply ivory eyeshadow under the eyebrow. All borders of colors should be well shaded and smoothly transition into each other.
Step 3-4 Using a small flat brush, bring the bottom edge to the middle of the pupil, and also blend with a soft brush.
Step 5-6 Now all that remains is to draw the waterline (the wet line above the lower eyelashes) with a black pencil. We also draw the upper eyelid along the contour of the eyelashes with a black pencil and fill it in between the eyelashes. If your eyelashes are not so long, you can use false eyelashes. Apply black mascara well to the upper and lower eyelashes. And the makeup with black shadows is ready! A languid, attractive look beckons you into the pool...
What you will need for makeup:
Step 1 Cover your eyelids with primer, don’t forget about under-eye corrector. Apply light beige eyeshadow all over your eyelid and under your brow bone.
Step 2 Using a soft black pencil, draw the upper eyelid, starting from the inner corner of the eye, in a small arrow
Step 3 Take black shadows onto the brush, shake off the excess (this way the shadows will not crumble under the eyes) and apply to the upper eyelid, as shown in the photo: with a thin line at the inner corner and gradually widening to the outer, extending beyond the contour of the eye and making a thick arrow.
Step 4 We line the lower eyelid with a black pencil, starting from the middle, connecting with the shadows on the upper eyelid. Gently blend the pencil so that there is no clear border.
Step 5 Using a soft brush, slightly blend the black shadow on the upper eyelid, moving the corner of the arrow to the side and up.
Step 6 Take light shadows with shimmer (with sparkles or pearlescent) onto the brush and apply them to the inner corner of the eye (top and bottom), on the lower eyelid to the middle, under the eyebrow. Notice how the eyes immediately sparkled!
Step 7 Draw a line above the lower eyelashes to the middle of the pupil.
Step 8 Paint your eyelashes thickly with black mascara or glue on false eyelashes. Makeup is ready!
What you will need for makeup:
Step 1 – Apply primer and cover your eyelids with nude eyeshadow. Using neat strokes, draw a curved line with a black pencil, as in the first photo.
Step 2 – Also draw a line under the lower eyelashes with a black pencil, reaching the middle of the eyelid.
Step 3 – Cover the area behind the arc-shaped black line that we drew on the upper eyelid with black shadows, repeating the shape of this line. We carefully shade the border. You can use brown shadows. The darkest place will be in the corner and gradually fade towards the bridge of the nose. Place some shadow on the lower eyelid and blend it gently.
Step 3 – Apply light peach eye shadow to the inner corner of the eye up to the black line.
Step 4 – All that remains is to line the upper eyelid with liquid black eyeliner and apply black mascara to the eyelashes. Makeup is ready!
Dark makeup is precisely this type that includes the trendy smokey eye makeup or “smoky eye” style.
Its main advantage is that it makes the look more mysterious and deeper. Eyes shaded with dark makeup look more expressive. The palette of rich, deep tones is universal. Any woman can afford it, regardless of face type, hair color, or eyes. Mascara applied to the eyelashes emphasizes the original make-up and becomes the finishing touch when creating an image.
Makeup artists and cosmetologists distinguish several types of dark makeup:
Avant-garde, in which a dark palette of shadows is used as an everyday option. Photos of several options for such make-up are presented on the website:
Classic, used by women as an option for special occasions and cocktail parties. It harmonizes with evening dresses, fits the overall style, and emphasizes the mystery of the image. Several original makeup options are presented below:
The Arabic or oriental version of dark make-up looks colorful. It looks best on brunettes with green and brown eyes. It is considered a win-win option if a woman has an oriental appearance. Arabic makeup, photos of which are on the website - great choice for a romantic date, party, candlelight dinner. It goes with any outfit, spectacular evening dresses in deep blue, green, gray tones.
It is very important to prepare the skin. You can achieve the perfect result using powder or foundation. Remember: the foundation must match the color of your skin, otherwise you risk only highlighting some of your skin’s imperfections.
Spread the base over the central part with a damp sponge, stopping under the chin, and also a little before reaching the hairline.
The powder should be a tone lighter than the main foundation. Dark powder will be needed to highlight the cheekbones and chin, as well as the wings of the nose. The powder will visually narrow the overly wide areas of your face and give your face a voluminous effect.
If you want to add freshness to your face, don't skimp on blush. Any shades are suitable - both light light pink and rich crimson red. The main thing is that you feel confident.
Just make sure that the transition of the blush to the main tone is smooth.
Pay special attention to your lips. A real bitch's lipstick should be in harmony with her skin tone and, of course, with her clothes.
If you want to freshen up your face, choose light, delicate shades. If you like the image of a bright sexy bitch, then only bright and rich colors.
Let's move on to the eyes themselves. Apply the puff over the eyelid, the skin fold directly next to the eye, and over the lips. Powder is needed so that the shadows and lipstick lie evenly - this is the only way dark makeup will look fresh.
Everyone knows that black shadows in color contrast do not look very advantageous in light-colored eye makeup: the combination comes out too harsh. But such shadows look great on the upper contour of the eye if combined with shadows of any other shades. Lighter shadows (blue, pink, gray, greenish shades) are often used in the inner corner of the eye, gradually turning into black in the outer corner. Thanks to this transition, you can visually make your eyes more open and give your face more freshness, which will make it rested. It is very important to apply black shadows only along the contour of the eye itself and not to shade them over the entire upper eyelid. Only beige colors are applied above the natural fold, because this is more of a base for eye makeup, the role of which can be successfully filled by any of the tones that are as close as possible to the natural skin tone.
Everyone knows what gives the look additional expressiveness and extraordinary depth, and makes the female image extremely mysterious and even sexy. And to create such a fatal makeup, you will need:
Black shadows create a shocking, bright image, which is why they are often used by modern film actresses and show stars. These shadows perfectly highlight brown eyes. But even with the strongest desire to create such a daring image, it is better to use them with care and even caution. It is also important to consider that sunlight enhances the colors of any makeup many times over, so in daytime makeup it is better to avoid black shadows in large quantities. It’s even better to leave black shadows for an evening or even a formal event. That's when an exaggerated eye contour won't seem predatory.
The bravest girls can do it in the daytime version. And although we usually do “every day” makeup with a natural look, there is still a way to clearly highlight the eyes without seeming vulgar. Here is the procedure for applying this compromise makeup option:
Here it is - eye makeup with black and white shadows. Of course, you shouldn’t abuse it. But a sense of proportion will help you keep the line.
There are many options on how to do it. True, they are all very similar and differ only in details. So:
In this material we will present different makeup options with shadows, explain how to repeat them at home and what you will need for this.
Make sure you have on hand:
With the help of black shadows you can do not only the basic make-up "". We'll tell you how to create feminine and sexy makeup with shaded "cat" wings.
Be sure to prepare your eyes for makeup: apply a thin layer of eyeshadow base or foundation to your eyelids and set with powder or beige eyeshadow. Without such a “primer”, black shadows will be difficult to shade. They can appear in spots, giving the face an unkempt appearance. But even if the shading is successful, without a base the shadows can roll off during the day.
Now apply black eyeshadow to a small natural brush and highlight the outer corner of your lower eyelid. Draw a line to the temple. This is the framework for future shading, which will help you create a beautiful, “cat-like” elongated eye makeup.
