The tariffs there are extremely simple. Packages are issued for 30 days; if the package runs out, you simply buy it again for 30 days.
You can distribute the Internet from your phone to your laptop. Now all tariffs are tripled, 3 GB for 7 euros, 7 GB for 10 euros and 10 GB for 15 euros. It couldn't be more profitable!
Local SIM cards in different countries They cost €10-15 and usually about 1GB is included. Therefore, this SIM card is no worse than the local ones. You arrive and your internet works immediately.
I have been using a SIM card for many years, I have tested it in many countries from Greece to Portugal. The reception is excellent everywhere, 4G Internet works quickly. In roaming, the first connection to the network occurs in less than 5 minutes.
The Internet operates in the countries of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Guadeloupe, Germany, Guernsey, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, French Guiana, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia.
I tested the SIM card in Greece, Malta, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Austria and Italy. Everywhere there was excellent 3G or 4G speed.
If I used a phone, then 100MB per day was enough. If I connected a laptop, then I spent 200-400 MB for work in the evening.
I didn’t use the card for calls; I called home for free through or to home phones through the program.
To prevent your SIM card from being blocked, you need to top it up once a year with at least €5. There are often promotions that add another +50% to the payment, which turns out to be very profitable. I paid €10 and received €15.
The tariff is easy to change personal account or via SMS. Change tariff plan free of charge, possibly 5 times during the entire period of using the card. The next 5th tariff plan change will cost €3.63, then 6 euros per change. There may be a charge for SMS to 1470.
I advise you to keep an amount in your account that is less than the subscription fee, for example €5, then until the next replenishment, the new month with the package will not be activated.
You can buy this SIM card in Spain or Russia, as I did, so as not to waste time searching. I ordered it online and a week later the envelope was waiting for me at the post office. You can get a SIM card right today at one of the distribution points, the main thing is to place an order.
Network: 2G to EDGE, 3G to HSUPA. 4G/LTE up to 150 Mbit/s covering 80% of the population. For 4G/LTE you need to have an Orange SIM card with 4G support and activate the data package. In June 2017, they updated their portfolio and introduced “free” roaming in EU/EEA countries.
You can get their SIM card for free, but you need to register and top up your account with 10-20 euros. They are sold in every Orange store in Spain ( store location) in all three sizes.
You can top up your account almost anywhere in the country where they sell “recargas”, in supermarkets, car services, kiosks, etc. Be aware that it would be much more difficult to top up from abroad since Orange has decided to phase out most non-Spanish credit cards online. To check your balance, you need to dial *111# or look in the client area called mi Orange.
Mundo SIM has 3 data packages to choose from. It can be installed upon purchase, online or by application in the client area. Valid for 30 days and automatically renewed if there are enough funds in the balance. Has a new default rate outside of packages or for usage over the limit: 3 euros charged per 100 MB per day (from usage). As with all Orange offerings, data can be used in the EU/EEA without additional charges:
Orange provides an additional 1 GB of free data for activation as a bonus.
Activation is carried out upon purchase, online in the customer area, by application or by sending the text message “ALTA MUNDO<размер пакета>" to number 1470. If all the data is used, you can update the package ahead of time by sending a free SMS message to number 1470 with the text: "RENOVACION MUNDO<размер пакета>" You must enter “1GB”, “2GB” or “3GB” in the package size field and make sure you have enough funds in your balance. Deactivation occurs by switching to Mundo SIM without data package in the application or in the client area.
Online in the "mi Orange" customer area or by calling customer service, all Orange prepaid plans are interchangeable. Mundo SIM can be changed to or from:
Their old EU roaming option was called "Go Europe" and was discontinued in June 2017 as all included limits on all plans are now valid without additional charges throughout the EU/EEA.
For non-EU countries, a new "Orange Everywhere" option has been introduced: 100 MB for 5 euros, valid in the USA, Canada, Switzerland, China, Japan, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. If using a larger volume or longer than one day, 5 euros will be charged.
Orange has updated their travel SIM offer which is for visitors and cannot be changed in the tariff. Their Holidays SIM card offers 3GB of data and 30 minutes of calls in Spain and to/from 45 other countries (list) for 30 days for €35. If you exceed the data limit, the speed will be reduced to 16 Kbps.
You can only increase the size of this package by pre-ordering the full package. To do this, you need to top up your balance and send the text message “BONO HOLIDAYS” to number 1470. Otherwise, the SIM card will be automatically renewed after 30 days if you have previously topped up your account. Also, you can change any other prepaid SIM card to this one in the client area. You can text "ALTA MUNDO 2GB" to add 2GB of data even if you are using a travel SIM card.
Orange previously did not allow Internet sharing in the profile for iOS devices. Now this has changed, subscribers reported that there is no longer a ban on sharing the Internet on Apple devices in Spain. Internet sharing has always worked on Android, Windows, Blackberry, etc., as well as on tablets, routers and modems.
For ease of use, enable the built-in translator in your browser.

SMS messages informing about these tariffs. The Euroroaming company thanks you for using Orange SIM cards and wishes you successful travels!
Previously, when traveling, I would simply buy a local SIM card and throw it away at the end of the trip. But then travel became more difficult, there were transfers and several countries in one trip - and each time there was not enough time or money to buy SIM cards. And then I started looking for that ideal SIM card that works worldwide and for pennies). Naturally, such a card does not exist, but I found several products that complement each other perfectly. The topic is relevant not only because it’s summer. Recently, roaming in the EU was canceled, and northern countries received special rights to charge a roaming fee, and southern countries changed their tariffs. I updated the information for myself, but it will be useful to anyone traveling abroad.
There are three main universal products on the market: MTX Connect, DreamSim, AirBaltic Card. Also worthy of attention are four prepaid tariffs from foreign operators, which you can buy yourself on your next trip, or through intermediaries in Russia: Saunalahti by Elisa F.I.(Finland), Internetikaart by Elisa E.E.(Estonia), Mundo from Orange ES(Spain), Vodafone 25 from Vodafone IT(Italy).
The price range is decent. Below you will find a large comparison table with countries and prices, as well as a short summary of each product.
Mini table:
For convenience and clarity, prices are presented for 100MB and 1GB, because... These limits can actually be met on a smartphone and router, respectively. The best prices are highlighted in bold, in plain text – good prices, in gray – not very favorable prices. When evaluating, I proceeded from the fact that +10-20% to the price does not solve anything; I gave preference to tariffs without packages - with payment for the actual traffic consumed.
Basic tariffs are non-transparent with a wide range of prices. Everything becomes transparent only if you use traffic packages that are connected manually via ussd. There is no mobile application, only a web account, you can also control it via sms/ussd. Bonuses include a SIM card with a number, free incoming voice/sms around the world; works with €0 balance. Formally, the numbers are Estonian, but they belong to a special range, calls to which are expensive from anywhere in the world. But there is a feature that allows you to call from Skype and Viber, it’s cheap and relatively convenient. The AirBaltic company is known to everyone and has been on the market for a long time; it uses the travelsim.com platform from the large Estonian company Top Connect. The support is not very fast.
€10 for a SIM card with a balance of €0. Payment by card from the site with a commission of €0.5.
There is a mobile application and website. Among the bonuses - “free chat” - free use of instant messengers for 90 days after replenishing the balance ( upd. It didn’t work for me personally, maybe it doesn’t work only in Russia, or it works oh-so-slowly). The SIM card does not have a number, which means voice/sms is unavailable. The company has been on the market for a long time, has offices around the world, and is a member of GSMA. The support is prompt.
Delivery by regular mail (10 days to St. Petersburg). €5 for a SIM card with a balance of €7. Replenishment from €5, payment by card or PayPal without commission.
All control is via a mobile application for iOS or Android. Bonuses include a SIM card with a number, free incoming voice/sms around the world; works with €0 balance. UK mobile numbers are issued, but they belong to a special range, calls to which are expensive from anywhere in the world. There is information that the product platform is chillisim.com. The company is listed as nominally from the BVI. The product has recently appeared on the market, but this is not the founder’s first project; the previous one, domoy.eu, is also related to SIM cards. I haven’t tried the support, but the whole process is as clear as possible.
Delivery by courier is very fast (next day in St. Petersburg). €10 for a SIM card with a balance of €0. Top up from €1 through the app without commission.
Uniform and transparent tariffs. Payment from €2.5 to €10 is debited automatically when you go online, when the “Day Ticket” is activated – €2.5/400MB/day in EU, €10/400MB/day in US and €10/150MB/day in a number of other countries.
Management from the site. Bonuses include a SIM card with a number. Elisa is a large Scandinavian telecom operator, the communication quality is excellent throughout Europe, LTE almost everywhere. Classic prepaid. The card can be purchased at any corner in Estonia for €3 without documents. Top up with a card from the website.
Uniform and transparent tariffs. Pay only for the traffic consumed without a monthly fee. Tariff €1/day maximum for home traffic + €0.00727/MB roaming component. Beneficial when consuming 1GB or more per day.
Management from the site. Sim card with number. The connection quality is excellent, LTE almost everywhere. Classic prepaid. The card can be bought at any street corner in Finland for €6 with a balance of €5 without documents. Top up with a card from the website from €5 without commission.
Uniform and clear tariffs, but traffic packages are available only with a subscription fee; changing tariffs with or without a subscription fee costs €3.65. Payment for traffic packages €7/1GB/month, €10/2GB/month and more profitable. With the free “Everywhere” option, €5/100MB packages are available in a number of exotic countries.
Control from the website or mobile application. Bonuses include a SIM card with a number. The Orange company needs no introduction; their connection quality is excellent throughout Europe (and also in Morocco and Tunisia).
The card can only be purchased at Orange offices in Spain; you will need a passport and half an hour of time. You can also buy from a reseller in Russia - ₽2700 with a balance of €20. Top up with a card from topup.orange.com from €5 with a commission of €0.65.
The card can be purchased at Vodafone offices in Italy. You can also buy from a reseller in Russia - ₽3400 with a balance of €15. Top up with a card from the website ricarica.vodafone.it from €5.
upd v.1 – Orange & Vodafon. There is information, confirmed by some comments, that products from Orange and Vodafon have two significant drawbacks.
Firstly, it is impossible to top up your balance with a card from another country (for example, Russia) through the native account. Because of this, you have to resort to the services of intermediaries and pay a commission, or somehow top up your account through friends in these countries. Personally, I have always topped up Orange ES through topup.orange.com with a commission.
Secondly, these guys can block SIM cards that spend most of their time not in their home country. I can neither confirm nor deny the information regarding Elisa, but the previous Finnish sim from Elisa FI lived with me for more than a year until it broke due to my fault.
upd v.2 – DreamSim vs. MTX. Having both SIMs in hand, I can say that MTX messengers do not work for free out of the box, and DrimSim has a strange SMS tariff for activating Apple FaceTime.
Finally, a sim from MTX arrived and after several dances with a tambourine it started working. It should be noted that the support is fast and tries to help.
Traffic cost.
DrimSim charged me €0.15 per SMS. Judging by the information from support, this is an SMS from Apple to activate FaceTime. However, I couldn’t find €0.15 per SMS in the UK anywhere in the tariffs.

Network Search.
DrimSIM – There is no need to turn off the iPhone, the network picks up instantly immediately after inserting the SIM and starts working. MTX is capricious, you need to turn off the phone and wait a long time until it catches the network; but even after this, the network is unstable and constantly falls off at first, although the reception level is normal (-90dB). Perhaps it's all about Tele2, which is a partner of DrimSIM.

When inserted into MiFi (Huawei E5776), both SIMs are picked up only after about 3 minutes.
Delivery.
DrimSim – next day by courier in St. Petersburg. MTX – 10 days by registered mail by Russian Post, tracking will be sent upon request.
