The best unlimited mobile internet. Will unlimited mobile internet be cancelled? Let's understand the situation. Internet from Tele2

01.10.2021 Thrombosis

Looking for the best tariff for mobile Internet is like looking for a needle in a haystack. First, you need to decide on the requirements for the “best tariff” and only then start searching. In this review, we will discuss the most profitable tariff plans from Russian cellular operators and try to find the optimal solution. At the same time, we will clarify some issues regarding the coverage area.

We evaluate the quality of communication

Not even the best tariff plan for mobile Internet can guarantee high access speed. This often happens - a subscriber buys a SIM card or modem, comes home and discovers that the connection quality is below the maximum. This is due to uneven network coverage. Remember that it is impossible to create perfect coverage - there will definitely be places where the coverage will be very weak.

Before looking for the best tariff, you should decide which operators are available in your home. It is expensive to purchase SIM cards from all operators at once. But you probably know whose signal is received best in your home. In general, the most important task is to test the quality of communication and speed of access to the mobile Internet. After this, you can start choosing a tariff plan.

Criteria for the “best tariff”

Let's see what it is - the most favorable tariff for mobile Internet. The criteria are:

  • Minimum subscription fee.
  • Maximum volume of included traffic.
  • No serious restrictions.

Let’s say right away that there will be restrictions in any case, as well as floating speed. If you want stability, look for wired providers.

Operator tariff plans

Let's go through the tariff plans of all major telecom operators in Russia - MTS, Beeline, MegaFon, Tele2 and Yota. Here we will try to find the best internet rates.

MTS tariffs

The most favorable tariff for mobile Internet from MTS is the “For Laptop” tariff plan. It provides subscribers with real unlimited speeds of up to 4 Mbit/s. The subscription fee is 800 rubles/month. Tariff advantages:

  • The absence of paid subscriptions is happiness, gentlemen;
  • There are no unnecessary services - no packages of minutes or SMS;
  • Optimal speed for any need – including for watching video with a resolution of up to 720 p.

If at some point you want to “pump up the gas,” we recommend using the “Unlimited for 3 hours” turbo buttons for 95 rubles or “Unlimited for 6 hours” for 150 rubles. Torrents on the plan work, but with a speed limit of up to 512 kbit/sec (you can try to bypass it via VPN or traffic encryption).

We have found the best tariff for unlimited mobile Internet via modem, now we will consider the best offer for mobile phone. This is the “Hype” tariff, which appeared in 2017. It includes 7 GB of Internet for any resources, as well as unlimited for YouTube, Apple Music, Google Music, Yandex.Music, Skype, popular social networks and instant messengers, gaming resources and the Twitch video streaming service. In other words, this is the best tariff for those who actively use social and gaming services. Subscription fee – only 500 rubles/month.

If you need regular traffic, connect to the MTS Connect-4 tariff and add to it the Internet-VIP option with 30 GB of traffic for 1,200 rubles/month. For a tablet PC, the “For Tablet” tariff with 10 GB of Internet for 550 rubles/month is suitable. You can also choose from unlimited YouTube, traffic for TV, social networks and video calls.

Beeline tariffs

The best tariff for mobile Internet from Beeline is “Internet for Computer”. It provides 25 GB of traffic for 1200 rubles/month. From the fourth month, the amount of traffic grows to 30 GB. Once the package is exhausted, the speed is limited to 64 kbit/sec; it is also possible to activate the “Auto-renewal speed” option. The available modifier option is “#EVERYTHING is possible,” which opens up unlimited access to social networks and music services. There is a similar tariff for tablet PCs “Internet for Tablet” - 10 GB for 550 rubles/month (15 GB from the fourth month).

For the phone, you can offer tariff plans “All 3” – 10 GB for 900 rubles/month, “All 4” – 15 GB for 1500 rubles/month and “All 5” – 15 GB for 2500 rubles/month. This also includes impressive amounts of minutes and SMS.

MegaFon tariffs

This operator has literally every tariff that is beneficial. We recommend that you carefully familiarize yourself with the tariff plans of the “Turn On!” line. for smartphones - here are traffic packages from 2 to 20 GB, as well as included unlimited options for social networks and instant messengers. Subscription fee – from 400 to 3000 rubles/month. The most powerful offer is the “Turn On! Premium". It includes 20 GB of total traffic, unlimited traffic for social networks, instant messengers, video hosting and music services, as well as over a hundred TV channels and 4 movies. The same line is suitable for tablet PCs.

  • “Internet M” – 16 GB for 590 rubles/month.
  • “Internet L” – 36 GB for 590 rubles/month.
  • “Internet XL” – 30 GB and unlimited at night for 1290 rubles/month.

In the first two options, traffic is divided equally into day and night. Daytime is available from 7:00 to 00:59, night - from 01:00 to 06:59. This was probably done to prevent subscribers from consuming all the traffic.

Tele2 tariff plans

Let's highlight the three most advanced tariffs:

  • For a smartphone, the “My Online+” tariff for 30 GB for 799 rubles/month is suitable. The 1500 minutes included in it can be exchanged for traffic and get another 15 GB (total 45 GB - in our review the leader of pseudo-unlimited ones emerged).
  • For a tablet – “Internet to Tablet”, including 15 GB of traffic, night unlimited, free traffic for social networks, movies, navigation and TV for 499 rubles/month.
  • For a modem – “50 GB” with night unlimited for 999 rubles/month.

Please note that the last two points are not tariffs, but options available on the Internet for Devices tariff plan.

Yota tariffs

  • For a smartphone - any of the line for smartphones, with traffic from 2 GB for 370 rubles to 30 GB for 650 rubles. Social networks (25 rubles/piece) and instant messengers (15 rubles/piece) are connected separately.
  • For a tablet, this is the only tariff plan with full unlimited data. A day – 50 rubles, a month – 590 rubles, a year – 4500 rubles.
  • For a modem - adjustable unlimited, from 0 rubles for 64 kbit/sec to 1400 rubles for the highest possible speed.

Please note that all Iota tariff plans limit the distribution of torrents.

Do you think there is a real one? mobile unlimited internet? So I asked myself this question and started searching.

First, let's decide who we'll look for. In my region there were quite enough operators. Except " big three» 5 more pieces like this.

But we will look for proven and, so to speak, reliable:

  • Megaphone

  • Beeline

  • Tele 2

We will not take into account any virtual operators, such as Vkmobile, Sberbank-Mobile and completely corporate ones - Gazprom-Mobile. Virtual ones cannot provide conditions better than those of the parent company, and corporate ones, for obvious reasons, are not available to the ordinary user.

Let's define what it is unlimited- this is the Internet without taking into account traffic, speed in this case is a secondary parameter.

All OPSOS (Cellular Operators) offer Internet tariffs with traffic limitation, but at the highest possible speed. For 3G - 7.2 Mb/s, for 4G - up to 150 Mb/s, which is sometimes even higher than the speed of wired Internet, but the traffic is from 2GB to 30GB per month. This is quite decent for phones and tablets, but if you connect via mobile communications video surveillance, then the traffic will “fly away” in literally 3-5 days. Now, if only there were no traffic restrictions, albeit at a limited speed...

So, megaphone And Beeline They immediately refused such a service, although for some time they provided such tariffs.

On the site Tele 2 There is a very small selection of tariffs and there is no unlimited. Well, not surprising, they rent megaphone towers, in my opinion.

At MTS I discovered an interesting tariff “connect-4” unlimited Mobile Internet at a speed of 4MB/c for 750 rubles per month. If you are interested, you can convert it into figures for limited tariffs and it will turn out that this is 10GB of traffic limit, since even if you want to, you won’t be able to pump more out of the network in a month. But the Internet will definitely never end.

With Iota more interesting. Like MTS, the hedgehog’s traffic is not limited, but it has the ability to flexibly adjust the tariff and speed.

And although 4 MB/s from eta will cost 850 rubles, which is more expensive than MTS, you can set up a tariff plan so that there is free mobile internet!!! This is honestly free internet, but the speed is 64kb/s. Yes, the speed nowadays is negligible, and it would seem that no one needs it, but... Such a tariff can be very useful for smart things (Internet of Things), say, for a refrigerator with an Internet connection. Yes, not many people have such a refrigerator, but what about a radio with a navigator that downloads traffic jams from the Internet? Or a car alarm with online monitoring? This won’t surprise anyone, but give them the Internet too, although it can be very leisurely. And here such a tariff from eta is fully justified; monthly traffic with a full load will be about 150 MB.

But it discovered a rather serious drawback. Its modems and SIM cards only work in 4G networks, and coverage of this technology not only throughout Russia, but also in Moscow is not available everywhere.

By the way, working in only one or two types of network indirectly indicates the virtuality of the OPSOS

Bottom line, unlimited mobile Internet exists and is even free.

But such an Internet is not intended for convenient and comfortable surfing on sites and social networks, but it will fully satisfy the needs of various geeks))

While searching, I discovered another interesting point. Many OPSOS offer unlimited, non-consuming traffic access to your package offer. You can safely use it and not think about megabytes, visit Instagram, VK, Facebook, Odnoklassniki and even YouTube. BUT livejournal is not in the lists(((

For a long time, there were no offers on the cellular communications market with unlimited Internet without restrictions on traffic and speed. Once upon a time, almost all operators had similar offers, but over time they became unavailable for connection and unlimited Internet without any restrictions became something unrealistic. In 2016, subscribers finally had the opportunity to use the mobile Internet without worrying about the amount of traffic spent. At first, this opportunity was provided by the Yota operator, and then unlimited Internet appeared at Beeline, MTS and MegaFon.

When we say unlimited, we mean that there are no restrictions on the speed and volume of traffic consumed. Operators also call unlimited those offers that include a certain traffic package, after which, after exhaustion, the speed of Internet access drops. It turns out that the subscriber actually receives unlimited Internet, but it is of little use, since after using up the available traffic package, the speed will drop to an extremely low value.

As part of this review, we will look at tariffs and options that provide unlimited mobile Internet without speed limits and traffic quotas. Yota, Beeline, MTS and MegaFon currently have such offers. We will make a detailed review of all offers and try to determine the best one. It is now quite possible to connect to unlimited Internet, but you should not hope that it will be the same as before. Unfortunately, there were no restrictions at all.

Unlimited Internet on Beeline

For a long time, unlimited mobile Internet was available only from the Yota operator, but it does not have such a large customer base as Beeline, MegaFon and MTS, and therefore there was not much noise around this offer, although it also deserves attention and we will return to it later . As for the big three, Beeline was the first to offer unlimited Internet. Postpaid tariffs of the “Everything” line include mobile Internet without speed limits and traffic quotas. Postpaid tariffs differ from prepaid ones in that they provide the opportunity to first use communication services and then pay. Most often, you can switch to such tariffs at the Beeline office. Unlimited Beeline Internet on postpaid “Everything” tariffs is available as part of a promotion that has been extended several times and is still valid to this day.

Beeline decided not to stop at postpaid tariffs with unlimited mobile Internet and opened the “#EVERYTHING” tariff plan for connection, which provides for an advance payment method. There is also a tariff plan with unlimited Internet for tablets. So far, Beeline has three active offers with unlimited Internet.

  • Tariffs “Everything” postpaid;
  • Tariff “Everything is possible”;
  • Tariff “Unlimited for tablet”.

Tariffs have a number of differences and features, so you should consider them separately.

Postpaid tariffs “Everything” with unlimited internet

Postpaid tariffs of the “Everything” line differ in the size of the subscription fee and the volume of service packages, but they all provide unlimited Internet without speed limits and traffic quotas. The most popular is. We have already done a detailed review of this tariff plan and recommend that you familiarize yourself with it. Here we provide brief information on the tariff.

The “All for 500” postpaid tariff includes:

  • Monthly subscription fee - 500 rubles;
  • Unlimited calls to Beeline numbers throughout Russia;
  • 600 minutes for calls to numbers of other operators;
  • 300 SMS messages;
  • Unlimited Internet with unlimited traffic quota.

As you can see, in addition to unlimited internet The tariff plan provides unlimited calls to Beeline numbers at home and when traveling around Russia, as well as impressive packages of minutes and SMS. All this is wonderful, but there are some pitfalls here. The subscriber actually gets the opportunity to use the Internet without speed limits and traffic quotas, but subject to certain conditions.

“Everything” postpaid tariffs are characterized by the following features:

  1. If a phone with a SIM card is used as a modem or Wi-Fi hotspot, Internet access is limited. The restrictions are comparable to a complete shutdown of the Internet.
  2. The tariff plan cannot be used on modems, routers, or even tablets. Unlimited mobile internet is available only for phones.
  3. The tariff provides for a speed limit for downloading from file-sharing networks. That is, you will not be able to download files through torrent clients.
  4. In a document with detailed description tariff plan, you can find a clause that states that the operator does not guarantee Internet speed in case of network load. In fact, at any time you can reduce the speed of your network access and refer to this point.
  5. On tariffs of the “Everything” line with a postpaid payment system, the “Internet for everything” service is not available. Let us remind you that this service is intended for distributing the Internet to other subscribers (not via Wi-Fi).

Undoubtedly, the shortcomings are very significant and greatly spoil the impression of the tariff. However, Beeline has other offers with unlimited Internet, although they are also far from ideal.

Tariff “#everything is possible”

The tariff plan appeared quite recently. Many argue that this is a response to MTS, which has opened the “Smart Unlimited” tariff plan for connection, which is superior in many respects to the “Everything” postpaid tariffs. It is difficult to say whether this tariff is the best and the opinions of subscribers in this regard differ greatly. We invite you to read the description of the tariff, and then decide what is best for you.

The daily fee is 10 rubles for the first month. From the second month, the subscription fee rises to 13 rubles. per day for most regions of Russia and 20 rubles. for Moscow and Moscow region.

The cost of switching to the tariff is 100 rubles. The tariff is not the cheapest and for this fee you should expect a lot from it.

  • The tariff can be everything Beeline includes:
  • Unlimited mobile Internet throughout Russia without speed or traffic limitations;
  • Unlimited calls to Beeline Russia subscribers;
  • 100 minutes (in most regions) or 250 minutes (Moscow and Moscow region) to all networks in the home region and Beeline Russia phones;

If you compare the “#everything is possible” tariff with the “Everything for 500” postpaid tariff, the second one looks more attractive, as it includes more impressive service packages. As for the Internet, the “EVERYTHING is possible” tariff has almost similar conditions. The tariff plan appeared quite recently and not all of its features are known yet. Below are a number of tariff disadvantages that have been officially confirmed. Unofficial information (subscriber reviews) suggests many other shortcomings.

The “#EVERYTHING is possible” tariff has the following disadvantages:

Such conditions are typical for the “#EVERYTHING” tariff. As you can see, there are a lot of pitfalls here and it’s difficult to call this tariff plan ideal. However, ideal tariffs do not exist at all. If you are a fan of Beeline, then it has another offer with unlimited internet.

Tariff “Unlimited for tablet”

The rates described above are for telephone. If you need unlimited Internet for a tablet, then Beeline has an offer specifically for these devices. provides mobile Internet without traffic quota and speed restrictions. A distinctive feature of the tariff plan is that it does not have protocol restrictions. That is, when downloading files from file-sharing networks (torrents), the Internet speed will not change. So far, this is the only tariff with unlimited Internet that does not have a restriction on downloading file-sharing networks. However, this is where its advantages end.

The subscription fee for the tariff is 890 rubles. per month (Moscow and Moscow region). Packages of minutes and SMS are completely absent. In fact, you only pay for unlimited Internet. Moreover, by default The tariff does not provide the ability to make calls or send messages at all. Activation of voice communications and SMS messaging services is possible only upon concluding a written contract for the provision of mobile radiotelephone services. The conclusion of an agreement is possible at any Beeline sales office.

As for the disadvantages, everything here is similar to the tariffs described earlier, with the exception of the absence of restrictions on torrents. It is worth adding that on the “Unlimited for Tablet” tariff plan there are “Highway” options, as well as promotions and others bonus programs, giving discounts on Internet traffic, are not available for connection. Another disadvantage is that despite the high subscription fee, the tariff does not include communication service packages.

Unlimited Internet on MTS

MTS provides subscribers with only one tariff plan with unlimited Internet without speed limits and traffic quotas. This does not mean that MTS lags behind Beeline in terms of unlimited Internet. MTS does not have a separate tariff for a tablet or a tariff plan with a postpaid payment system. Available not only on phones, but also on tablets. As for the use of the tariff in the modem, there is also a limitation in this regard. But “Smart Unlimited” does not provide for restrictions on distributing the Internet via Wi-Fi and using the phone as a modem.

By removing this limitation, MTS stood out favorably against other operators. However, there are some pitfalls here too.

  • The “Smart Unlimited” tariff includes:
  • Unlimited Internet without speed limits and traffic quotas;
  • Unlimited calls to MTS numbers throughout Russia;
  • 200 minutes to numbers of all networks in your region;

200 SMS messages to numbers of all networks in your region.

Packages of minutes and SMS are small. Few people worry about SMS, but there may not be enough minutes and then you will have to pay extra. Calls to MTS Russia numbers are also included in the 200-minute package. Only after the package is exhausted, calls to MTS outside your home region become free, but you will have to pay for calls to mobile phones of other operators in your home region. As you can see, everything here is very confusing and tricky. There are also quite a lot of tricks regarding the Internet. The subscription fee in most regions is 12.90 rubles. per day. Subscribers in Moscow and the Moscow region pay 12.90 rubles for the first month. per day, and from the second month 19 rubles per day.

Of course, the Smart Unlimited tariff has its drawbacks, and there are quite a lot of them. The most unpleasant thing is that the list of shortcomings regularly increases. This is not because we did not identify them in a timely manner. The fact is that since the time of MTS, tariff conditions have been changing and a similar phenomenon is typical for all operators. Below is a list of shortcomings that are relevant today.

  1. Disadvantages of the “Smart Unlimited” tariff:
  2. A SIM card with the “Smart Unlimited” tariff connected cannot be used in a modem or router. Is it possible to bypass this limitation? Yes, it is possible, but it is not easy to do. We have already written about that.
  3. The document with a detailed description of the tariff indicates that it is possible to limit the speed of Internet access in case of heavy load on the network. All operators providing tariffs with unlimited Internet insure themselves with this review.

We have devoted a whole series of articles to this tariff plan. If you believe the reviews of visitors, then the tariff has a lot of disadvantages. However, we believe that this is relevant for all operators. It is hardly worth counting on the fact that mobile Internet without any restrictions will ever appear again.

Unlimited Internet on MegaFon

MegaFon does not have a separate tariff plan with unlimited Internet without speed limits and traffic quotas, but it does have a special “MegaUnlimited” option. Access option for connection on “All inclusive” tariffs. As with other tariffs, the MegaUnlimit option provides for a number of restrictions. The subscription fee depends on the region and tariff plan.

As an example, we present data relevant for Moscow and the region. So, on the “MegaFon - All Inclusive L, XL” tariffs within the “MegaUnlimit” option it will cost 5 rubles per day. If you use the “MegaFon - All Inclusive M” or “Warm Welcome M” tariffs, then the daily fee will be 7 rubles. For tariff plans of the “MegaFon - All Inclusive S” and “Warm Welcome S” line, the price is 9 rubles. If you have the MegaFon All Inclusive VIP tariff activated, then the MegaUnlimited option will be provided to you free of charge.

Features of the “MegaUnlimit” option:

  • The option is only available on phones, smartphones and tablets. You cannot use the option in a modem or router.
  • The use of torrent resources and wi-fi tethering is limited. That is, when you try to download a file through a torrent client, the speed will drop to an extremely low value. Distributing the Internet via Wi-Fi will also not work.
  • The option only applies within your home region.
  • The option is available for connection to subscribers in all regions except Taimyr MR, Norilsk, Magadan Region, Kamchatka Territory, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.

Many will think that MegaFon lags behind its competitors in terms of unlimited Internet, but in fact this is not the case. Unlimited Internet without speed or traffic restrictions has long been provided by MegaFon's subsidiary Yota. If you want to activate the “MegaUnlimit” option, dial the command * 105 * 1153 # on your phone or send a blank SMS to 05001153.

Unlimited Internet from Yota

Yota offers quite attractive tariff conditions with unlimited mobile Internet. Many believe that this operator has too small a coverage area and is only available in large regions of the country. In fact Yota services available wherever MegaFon has a connection, and this is a very impressive coverage area.

Provides very flexible tinctures. That is, you have the opportunity to independently choose the maximum Internet speed and cost. Yota does not have tariffs similar to those offered by MTS or Beeline. This operator offers to choose the Internet for specific device(phone, tablet, modem). First you need to decide on the device on which you will use the Internet, and then you yourself determine the optimal conditions for yourself.

Yota tariff for smartphones

The tariff for smartphones includes unlimited calls within the network and unlimited Internet. You set the package of minutes for calls to numbers of other operators yourself. The minimum tariff cost is 230 rubles per month. For this money you get:

  • Unlimited Internet (there are a number of restrictions, see below);
  • Unlimited calls to Yota numbers throughout Russia;
  • Unlimited SMS (for an additional fee of 50 rubles);
  • 100 minutes to numbers of other Russian operators.
  • If 100 minutes is not enough for you, you can increase the package to 300, 600, 900 or 1200 minutes. The larger the package of minutes, the more expensive the tariff.

Yota unlimited internet is designed for smartphones. If you need Internet for a tablet or modem, connect to tariffs specifically designed for these devices. You cannot use your smartphone as a modem or WI-FI access point. No one will block you for these actions, the Internet speed will simply be limited to 128 Kbps. You can also forget about using file-sharing networks, since the speed will be limited to 32 Kbps.

Yota tariff for tablet

If you need unlimited Internet for your tablet, then Yota has a special offer for such cases. The tablet tariff provides mobile Internet without speed limits and traffic quotas. You have the opportunity to independently determine the period of Internet access. Internet for a day will cost you 50 rubles, for a month you will have to pay 590 rubles, and a year of high-speed Internet will cost 4,500 rubles. The prices are relevant for Moscow and the Moscow region; in other regions the subscription fee will be lower.

The tariff plan is valid throughout Russia. Packages of minutes and SMS are not provided within this tariff. The cost of outgoing calls within Russia to all numbers is 3.9 rubles. in a minute. A similar cost is set for outgoing SMS.

Of course, this was not entirely without restrictions. The Yota tariff includes a number of restrictions that make it less attractive.

The tariff is subject to the following restrictions:

  1. Unlimited Internet is provided for use on tablets only;
  2. When using a SIM card in modems or routers, the speed is limited to 64 Kbps;
  3. Downloading/distributing files in torrents is subject to a speed limit of up to 32 kbps;
  4. When distributing the Internet via WI-FI or using the tablet in modem mode, the speed is limited to 128 Kbps;
  5. When staying in Crimea and Sevastopol, special tariff conditions apply. For example, the cost of Internet is 9 rubles. for every 100 KB.

Yota tariff for modem

Today, only the Yota operator has unlimited Internet for a modem without speed limits and traffic quotas. The modem tariff also has flexible settings. You can choose between price and speed. If you need unlimited mobile Internet at maximum speed, then the subscription fee will be 1,400 rubles per month (Moscow and Moscow region). If this is too expensive for you, you can reduce the subscription fee by reducing the Internet speed. For example, Internet at a speed of 1 Mbit/s will cost 600 rubles per month. You can also connect to unlimited Internet for a day for 150 rubles or even for 2 hours for 50 rubles.

As for restrictions, there are none. You can use the tariff in a modem or router, distributing the Internet via Wi-Fi. We did not find any information about restrictions on downloading from file-sharing networks. So far this is the only tariff with unlimited mobile Internet that can be used in a modem or router. MTS and Beeline have long closed such tariffs and options for connection. In general, we can say that Yota is a good operator for the Internet, and if you fall within the coverage area of this operator, then you definitely need to study its offers in detail.

Best deal

It is unlikely that anyone will be able to answer you which operator provides the best tariff with unlimited Internet. It all depends on the preferences of a particular person, and therefore opinions will differ. If you have read the entire review in full, then you already have an understanding that all proposals have shortcomings. Unfortunately, truly profitable offers have long been unavailable for connection.

Previously, unlimited Internet was provided without restrictions by Beeline, MTS and MegaFon, but over time the load on the network increased and operators considered such offers not profitable for themselves. No matter what they tell us, every operator always thinks first of all about profit, but not about the benefit of subscribers. All current tariffs with unlimited Internet are far from ideal, but we have no choice but to choose from what is available.

We tested all the tariffs listed in the article, but we will not impose anything specific on you, since there really is no better guess. You yourself must choose the best option for yourself depending on your own preferences.

“The time will come and the main source of income for cellular operators will be mobile Internet.” Just a few years ago, it was difficult to believe that the time of “Che”, according to the forecasts of experts in the telecom services market, would come so soon for Russian companies, and for subscribers the question of finding the best tariff for mobile Internet would arise. It seemed that in the foreseeable future, calls and SMS would not lose their popularity, and the almighty Internet would not be able to replace them. But it took only a couple of years for high-speed mobile Internet to become the main parameter of tariff offers of Russian operators. Of course, the main market players themselves contributed to this process by offering subscribers unlimited access to their 4G networks. Now that few people are considering tariffs without Internet traffic packages, operators have decided that it’s time to make money on this and pay for the construction of LTE networks.

While subscribers increasingly replaced their usual calls and messages with online messengers, got used to watching videos online from a smartphone, and communicated more and more through social networks, operators analyzed their behavior and habits. “Free communication in social networks and instant messengers”, “speed limit when using torrents”, “paid distribution of the Internet to other devices” - became trends of the current year in the description of tariffs. In return unlimited traffic users have to look for the most favorable tariffs for mobile Internet and carefully read additional conditions on operator websites. We have selected the most favorable Internet tariffs from major mobile operators to make it easier for you to make a choice.

Cheap internet tariffs

Cheap is not necessarily bad or unprofitable. For those who do not spend a lot of time online and do not download heavy files via the Internet, the best offer for a phone would be a tariff with a small amount of traffic in the package and a minimum monthly fee. Among the Big Four operators, Tele2 compares favorably with competitors with low tariffs for services, but they will become truly profitable for a wide number of users only when the subscriber base is comparable to other players in the market. Although after this the price of services will change upward. In the meantime, the operator’s offers can be safely considered for mobile Internet and a second SIM card in the phone. Unlimited calls to Beeline, MTS or Megafon are a tariff parameter that is not yet comparable to that of Tele2.

“My Conversation” from Tele2 is the cheapest mobile Internet tariff for a phone among federal telecom operators in Moscow and the region. For 199 rubles, 2 GB of traffic is available, unlimited in the operator’s network, 200 minutes for calls to other networks. For comparison, for such an Internet package from Beeline you need to pay 300 rubles, from Megafon and MTS similar tariffs include only one gigabyte, and cost 300 and 350 rubles, respectively.

In this price segment, the “Smart” tariff compares favorably with MTS, but no later than September everything can change. For those who connect or switch to a tariff in the fall, only three will be available for 500 rubles instead of 5 GB. Now the operator offers a low tariff for the Internet, and a free intranet and 550 minutes to other networks in its region distinguish it from its competitors. Among the benefits is the transfer of remaining packages to the next month.

For those who value unlimited communication in the Beeline network, and the postpaid payment system is considered an advantage, the postpaid “All for 500” tariff will be a favorable tariff for the Internet on the phone. 10 GB of traffic, unlimited on the network and 600 minutes on others for 500 rubles per month. The difference from MTS is that the packages are used when traveling around the country without additional payment. At the tariff " MTS Smart» Package services can be used in other regions for 15 rubles per day.

Tariffs for the middle class

To attract subscribers, or in order not to be immediately intimidated by a high monthly subscription fee, operators actively use daily charge-offs for tariffs. A peculiar development of this approach was used in MTS when updating tariff line in 2017. In the “Smart+” tariff, the monthly fee is charged once a week. This rule made it possible to offer subscribers a larger number of package services for the same money. After the latest tariff update, it has become even more attractive, since package services not used during the week are transferred to the next one.

A subscription fee of 250 rubles per week (approximately 1000 per month) allows Smart+ to be the optimal tariff for mobile Internet. 28 GB of traffic is available per month, unlimited network access, 1,400 minutes to other operators and 350 SMS to all networks across the country. Unlike other tariffs in the line, you do not need to pay extra for national roaming.

This tariff can be used even more profitably if you connect to the operator’s partners. In this case, an exclusive modification of the “Smart+ 2.0” tariff will cost 200 rubles per week (approximately 800 per month). With such a price, the tariff is profitable not only for the Internet, but also for calls. For this MTS tariff, the direct competitor in terms of traffic volume is “My Online+” from Tele2. For 799 rubles per month, 30 GB is available plus unlimited social networks and online messengers. Traffic, like MTS, is transferred to the next billing period.

Internet only

The widespread use of dual-SIM smartphones makes it possible not only to distinguish between personal and business communication, but also to combine favorable tariffs. One option is to use a second SIM card for mobile Internet. The main advantage is that there is no connection to a specific operator for calls. MTS and Beeline's options for mobile Internet are practically the same in cost as package tariffs for calls.

Megafon offers favorable tariffs for the Internet from a smartphone, without regard to minute packages. Options “Internet S”, “Internet M” and “Internet L” can be connected to the tariff without a monthly fee, and their cost is 350, 590 and 890 rubles, respectively. The traffic package in the junior option is 3GB, in the middle option – 16GB, and in the older option – 36GB. Among the disadvantages is the division of traffic by time of day into “Internet M” and “Internet L”, half of which is available only at night.

Prestigious rates

For those who are not used to saving, but want to get the most for their money, operators offer their best tariff plans for calls and the Internet. Service packages costing up to 3,000 rubles can really be called profitable for calls - the number of minutes is calculated in thousands, and they can be spent traveling around the country. But traffic packages do not exceed 30 GB.

MTS has 5,000 minutes for calls and 20 GB of traffic in its most expensive “ULTRA” tariff for 2,700 rubles per month. Megafon's "All Inclusive - VIP" tariff looks like a carbon copy. Beeline has 3300 minutes and 30 GB available on postpaid in the “All for 1800” tariff, which makes it more profitable tariff plan for the Internet among the big three.

Against this background, from the standard tariffs of all operators, it stands out tariff package Beeline “Absolutely Everything” - 60 GB for use in Russia and 100 MB when traveling to other countries. The fee for such a package corresponds to two less “premium” ones - 6,000 rubles.

There are more attractive conditions on the market. But will the mobile operator tell its subscribers about the best tariffs for mobile Internet when the subscriber uses a more expensive one? You can get greater benefits for the same money by connecting special tariff offers from partner operators. MTS has three tariffs available in the “Unlimited” line, Beeline has “Everything for our own” and “Everything for communication”, and Megafon has “Exclusive Unlimited”. These offers have a lower monthly fee compared to “standard” offers from mobile operators.

What fare should I take on the road?

The territorial division of Russian operators by region is also reflected in the use of traffic included in the monthly payment. All operators allow you to use packages. The cheapest ones require you to pay extra for an additional option. On tariffs starting from 500 rubles, this option is available initially.

An exception is MTS, where in tariffs (except for Smart+) you must pay 15 rubles per day for using packages in national roaming. What distinguishes the company is that MTS is the only Russian operator, which does not charge additional fees when using services in Crimea if the use of packages is available in another region.

conclusions

When choosing favorable tariff To use the mobile Internet, you need to take into account a number of factors. Among them, “attachment” to the network of a specific telecom operator. If you plan to use one number for calls and surfing, then you will have to choose among the offers of the operator whose numbers have more outgoing calls. There is much wider scope for choice if you can use an additional number for the Internet.

There are plenty of options to choose from for the best Internet tariff from your phone in Moscow, despite the similarity of offers from all mobile operators. Each of them has similar offers with almost identical conditions and prices.

Let's be silent and remember unlimited mobile Internet.

He's dead and won't come back. Instead of mourning, I recommend making the most of the old conditions - according to my illiterate calculations, there are a couple of months left for this, or six months at most.

Why did they deprive us of unlimited LTE???

Miracles couldn't last that long. One after another, the operators offered fantastically favorable conditions, which in other countries would have upset people.

When in the USA people paid $50 for 3 GB, in Russia they offered unlimited for $5. It was a wild dumping, it worked - almost all of Russia switched to devices with LTE support.

But unlimited is Utopia in market conditions. This is one of the reasons for its failure, which was discussed throughout the previous year.

Most of us purchased such tariffs and used traffic of a maximum of 4-6 gigabytes. That is, within the framework of previous tariffs limited in terms of traffic volume. It would seem that what’s wrong with this for the operator?

While we were burning through a couple of gigabytes, some were dragging tens of gigabytes onto their smartphones and single-handedly loaded operator equipment. The result was an inadequate bias in favor of power users, especially schoolchildren and students who stream videos and download everything to their smart phones.

Unpredictable network loads are not a healthy situation. This is partly why they had been planning to end with the freebie for a long time. I suspect that the plan to abandon it was worked out even when unlimited tariffs were just being invented.

All that was left was to agree and do it simultaneously, as happened in March.

And now I have unlimited, it hasn’t been taken away! What are you pumping up?

Yes Yes.

Here's what operators will do in the next 12 months:

1. Initially, tariffs are closed for connecting new subscribers.

2. They work with clients, luring them to other tariffs without unlimited limits.

3. They change the conditions of unlimited tariffs by introducing limits.

These are lies, they promised an unlimited tariff: carefully read the agreement that you signed when receiving the SIM card. There you can find an interesting line, the meaning of which is below:

The operator reserves the right to unilaterally change the terms of service for the subscriber.

That is, the tariff you agree to is relevant only at the time of signing agreement.

After this, the operator has the right to do whatever he wants with the tariff - for example, raise the cost of services or cancel them altogether. The contract can be terminated at any time, but before that you allow the operator to twist and turn the terms of service.

Why won't they take him away right now: there will be too much negativity. The share of unlimited users is huge; if you cut off their oxygen, an unpredictable migration will begin, which cannot be hidden with PR. It is better to do this in stages and with minimal noise.

How to protect yourself from losing your unlimited

They'll take him anyway. The only question is When. Your goal now is extend the use of unlimited Internet until the very last stage, when it is completely turned off.

Remember the following three tips. They will help you enjoy unlimited mobile Internet for as long as possible.

1. When the operator calls you and offers new conditions, respond NO. Don't agree, don't prove anything - don't let them make the sale. A variety of tools of suggestion and handling objections will be used.

They will call you a particularly valuable client, and after the first refusal they will offer even more favorable conditions. And then they can dial you again and squeeze the sale if you promise to think about their offer. Just know that the operator will never offer you something unprofitable for himself. And stay on unlimited.

2. Don't rush to move for new cool rates. After the abolition of unlimited services, operators will most likely release some bright and unusual packages with a bunch of goodies that were not there before. My opinion is that they will begin to offer tangible bonuses in addition to tariffs, such as discounts in online stores and the like.

You will want to jump, the operator himself will push you to do this in every possible way. Don't give in. A cool tariff won’t go away, but you can’t get unlimited back.

3. Don't try to switch to another operator, if he suddenly offers unlim. Virtual operators and market players smaller than the Big Three now have a cool ace up their sleeve: when everyone cancels unlimited, it can be provided - and people will happily come running.

If this happens, don't follow the crowd. Virtual operator and other small guys are sitting on the capacities of that same “Big Three”. Tomorrow she will whisper in the vassals’ ears, and the unlimited will collapse. And from there, you won’t return to anlim with your reinforced concrete previous operator - guess what?

Well last thing.

Mentally prepare to go to the limit and determine how many GB of mobile Internet you need from your future tariff. You definitely don’t need more than 10 GB, and not everyone will spend more than 7 GB.

We will write about which tariff to choose after giving up unlimited unlimited another time. Well, for now hold on to your unlimited with all arms and legs.

AND enjoy, Certainly! Then you will tell your children how you accessed the Internet from your mobile phone and watched 10 TV series in a row without Wi-Fi.
