01.10.2021 Symptoms

Compact tablets are slowly giving way to the increasingly popular phablets, but devices with large screens feel relatively safe. One of the huge variety of inexpensive large tablets is the bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1, which features an American rather than a Chinese processor - it has an Intel® Atom™ x3-C3230RK. True, it was created in collaboration with Chinese company RockChip. Let's see what an inexpensive tablet with such a chipset can do.

Equipment and design

bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 comes in a blue box, richly decorated with inscriptions. From them you can find out not only the name of the model and manufacturer, but also a set of pre-installed software (Dr. Web, Yandex applications), as well as key characteristics - Intel® Atom™ processor (“4 cores, 64 bits, like the world’s flagships”), support 3G, large screen 10.1", Android 5.1 and so on.

Inside there is a set of documentation, an OTG cable, a USB cable, Charger(5 V, 2 A), a cleaning cloth and simple headphones.

The 10.1" MOZG is available in two colors - black and white. We tested the white version, which proved to be quite practical. The front panel is protected by a film; in addition to the screen with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, there is only a 2-megapixel front-camera. The back is made of plastic leather, quite pleasant to the touch and not at all slippery. Thanks to this, as well as to the grooved ends, the “brain” fits perfectly in your hands and is almost impossible to drop.

All the buttons are on the short side, which means the tablet is designed for use in landscape orientation. In this case, the microphone is located at the bottom, the left end is empty, on the right side of the top edge there are microUSB and 3.5 mm jack connectors, and along with them there is a deeply recessed emergency reset button, and on the right are the volume and lock keys. They are all exactly the same, making them easy to confuse with each other. However, in general they are easy to feel and walk very clearly.

On the back cover there is a small removable panel that provides access to two SIM card slots (classic mini-SIM format) and a microSD tray. No one knows why a tablet needs two SIM slots at once, but they won’t interfere with you in any way, and that’s okay. In addition to the removable plate, on the rear panel there is a 5-megapixel camera with flash, a single speaker (pretty good), the bb-mobile logo, the Intel Inside icon, an IMEI sticker, the model name, serial number, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth icons, GSM and EAC, information about the charger and place of production.

The 10.1" TFT screen of the tablet has a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, the pixel density is 118 ppi. This is small: the pixels are visible to the naked eye, and if you look closely, you can even see the horizontal lines of subpixels. The icon signatures look loose, you can read from the tablet, but very You won’t get much pleasure from this. Poor viewing angles don’t help the situation either - the screen can withstand horizontal deviations, that is, you can watch a movie with a friendly group, but vertical tilts lead to fading and inversions, which can cause discomfort in the eyes. , the panel is dim. There are difficulties with recognizing quick data input - a quick swipe does not lead to a change of desktop, for example.

Software

bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 is based on the Android operating system version 5.1.1 Lollipop, wireless updates are not supported, but the tablet can find update files on the microSD card and install them. True, it was not possible to find new versions of the firmware for the “brain” on the website.

bb-mobile did not change the OS much (there are several small changes like the ability to add a “screenshot” button to the strip of virtual keys, a gigantic collection of ringtones and a customizable energy saving mode), but it was generously equipped with Yandex software (Market, Music, Navigator, Weather, search application, Store, browser), and also pre-installed the VKontakte client and Dr.Web antivirus. Fortunately, all of this can be removed. Third-party software on the tablet also includes FM radio and Explorer; you can’t remove them, and you don’t really want to.

Camera

Taking pictures on a 10.1" tablet is a rather strange idea, so they are usually equipped with weak cameras. It happened this time too, the tablet was given 5-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras without autofocus. The frames on them are poor, SD video is recorded with frame rate is 15 fps and it’s also not encouraging. I wouldn’t worry about this, since in most cases it will be more convenient to take a photo with a phone than with a tablet.

Performance and tests

“Powerful Intel® Atom™ processor. C3230-RK Processor. 4 cores, 64 bits, like the world’s flagships,” says the box. Indeed, the tablet has a quad-core 64-bit Intel® Atom™ X3-C3230-RK chipset, the maximum clock speed is 1.3 GHz. It is not clear which global flagships are meant - usually they have either 6 cores (solutions based on Snapdragon 808), or 8 (Snapdragon 810, Exynos 7420, MediaTek Helio X10, HiSilicon Kirin 930/935), or 2 (Apple A9). A quad-core 64-bit processor can be found in only one flagship - ASUS Zenfone 2. There is also Intel®, by the way. Of the 8 GB of internal memory, 4.6 GB are free.

The Intel® Atom™ X3-C3230-RK chipset was developed jointly with RockChip, which probably explains the Mali-450MP4 video accelerator, which is unusual for the company (Intel® usually installs PowerVR or its own video accelerators). In conjunction with 1 GB random access memory(500 MB free) the Intel-Rock chip “brain” shows itself quite worthy for a budget device - Asphalt 8 can be played with maximum graphics, Unkilled with medium graphics (at maximum, when killing zombies, the frame rate drops to 2-3 fps). Cut The Rope 2 and all sorts of puzzles can be played without any problems.

Benchmark numbers: AnTuTu – 20,228, Epic Citadel (High Quality) – 43.5 fps, Geekbench – 329/886, 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimted – 4592, GFXBench T-Rex – 11 fps / 7.3 fps (onscreen / offscreen ). In 30 minutes of Stability Test, the tablet's processor never reached its maximum clock speed, always running at 728 MHz. There is heating, but only on the right side of the back and very little.

The bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh. For an hour of video playback, the discharge was 14%, that is, you can count on watching 7 hours of movies without recharging.

conclusions

The official retail price of bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 is 7,490 rubles. At this price, it’s foolish to expect amazing performance, but I would like to get a higher-quality display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. The tablet is suitable for watching videos, it can be used as a navigator and for completely simple games like Flappy Bird and Hit Verto. The big screen makes it good remedy for working with documents and surfing the Internet, but, again, I would like to see a higher resolution. If the above mentioned applications are what you are looking for, MOZG would be a good choice.

The line of tablets of the Russian company Business Bureau has recently been replenished with a new “Brain”: the 10-inch bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1. The device received Android 5.1 Lollipop as the operating system.

All tablets in the Russian manufacturer’s line are identical in terms of “filling”, but differ in display diagonal: there is a 7-inch, 7.85-inch and now the largest, 10.1-inch device. It will be interesting to see how the new “Brain” will perform in testing.

Equipment

The blue cardboard box, which protects the tablet during transportation, contains a rich set of accessories.

There is a headset that is useful for using bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 as a smartphone.

An OTG cable for data transfer, eliminating unnecessary costs, trips to local stores or waiting for this (not the cheapest, by the way) accessory ordered from overseas. A wipe that keeps the screen and case looking like new. Power adapter, microUSB cable, instructions, warranty card and, of course, the tablet itself.

Design and management

The design style of the bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 is reminiscent of its counterparts from the “Technobrains” line.

The layout of the controls is quite familiar. Above the display, just to the left of center, is the front camera eye.

On the back panel there is the main camera adjacent to the multimedia speaker.

The power and volume keys are located on the right side of the device.

Audio output, microUSB port and microphone are at the top.

Under the removable cover are slots for two SIM cards and a memory card.

The monolithic body is made of plastic and does not creak or play in your hands. Quite grippy, it’s comfortable to hold the device with both hands. “One left” - not very much, after all, it’s not the smallest weight that affects it - 535 g.

It is convenient to use the tablet in both landscape and vertical orientation. The only thing I would like to see included in the package is a cover-stand, which allows you to conveniently place the device on the table.

Cameras

As befits modern phablets, bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 is equipped with two built-in cameras: the main one and the front one.

The second, 2-megapixel, is more suitable for transmitting images during video conferencing. The “self-arrows” are not very clear and will only please friends or relatives whom the author of the pictures has not seen for a long time.

The 5-megapixel main camera does an excellent job of creating protocol photos. For example, you can use it to capture transport schedules or posters.

There is no autofocus here, because landscape lyrics It is still better to photograph the surrounding space with a camera.

However, photographs taken during the day or in good artificial light come out quite well. Not too noisy and without too much grain.

Screen

The 10.1-inch display does an excellent job of transmitting images.

The touch layer is highly sensitive, all touches are processed perfectly. It’s quite convenient to look at bright, colorful photo collections. It is no less comfortable to enjoy multi-hour TV series; fortunately, the battery capacity allows you to go without recharging for a long time. Screen material is plastic.

operating system

The bb-mobile tablet has Android 5.1 Lollipop installed: a great opportunity to get acquainted with a fairly recent OS. Unlike previous versions of Android, the interface has become sleeker and easier. Productivity has increased and energy savings have improved.

Yandex and Dr.Web services for Android are preinstalled. You can use it for free for a month, and if you purchase a license for 1, 2 or 3 years, you will receive a bonus: another 3 months of “free” work of Dr.Web Security Space.

Also, bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 boasts support for the Device Protection system. It is she who is responsible for blocking the gadget if it is lost or stolen, and the settings will be reset to factory settings.

Communications

The number of necessary modules in the system has been brought to almost the maximum. In addition to standard Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G, the device boasts GPS and GLONASS.

Both navigation modules work accurately and quickly (“cold” start does not exceed three minutes), and even in fairly densely built-up areas, the connection is not interrupted.

Thanks to two mini SIM slots, bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 becomes a full-fledged smartphone replacement. Yes, in terms of dimensions it is much more massive than most models, and you need to use a headset for calls, but still the opportunity provided is pleasantly pleasing. You can relieve your hands by using just one, more “brainy” one instead of several gadgets.

Hardware platform and performance

The bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 tablet is powered by an Intel®Atom™ C3230-RK processor. Such a powerful “heart” fits seamlessly into the life of a modern user and is suitable for a variety of scenarios. The possibility of 64-bit computing is supported, which opens up opportunities for more complete use of RAM.

In the AnTuTu test, the device received about 28,000 points. A very good indicator. A clear confirmation that Techno MOZG 10.1 is a fast and powerful device.

The tablet copes, as they say, “excellently” with modern gaming applications. Applications install quite quickly and even at maximum settings work without freezing.

The graphics transfer is smooth, without jerks.

The only thing that upset me: the amount of built-in memory. Here it is only 8 GB, and this is not so much. However, installing a microSD card solves the problem of lack of memory.

Autonomous operation

The bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 tablet is installed to match the current filling good battery capacity 5,000 mAh. This value is enough to comfortably watch episodes of your favorite TV series for about seven hours straight.

You can “run” in 3D applications at maximum settings and not look for a power outlet for up to five hours in a row. Good indicators that classify the tablet as a device with decent battery life. With an average load and used as a dialer, the tablet can withstand a whole day without a power outlet.

Bottom line

In my opinion, the bb-mobile Techno MOZG 10.1 tablet for 7,490 rubles is an excellent device with a bright screen that combines the functions of a tablet, navigator and smartphone. Of course, in the latter case you will have to use a headset, but the quality of communication still remains at the same level. Latest version of Android, antivirus protection, a good modem and a decent battery - everything you need for productive work and relaxing rest. Another nice feature is the processor from the latest Intel® Atom™ X3 line, which is responsible for system performance.

What I didn't like

What I liked

2 SIM cards. 3G + ability to talk from a tablet (using a headset). 8-inch. Lolipop. Intel Atom.

What I didn't like

In my opinion, there are no shortcomings, at least I haven’t noticed them yet.

What I liked

The screen is large, the bezels are not too big, so it looks like a great tablet. The processor is good, productive 4-core Intel Atom x3 C3230, 1200 MHz. The OS is smooth and brand new Android 5.1. It can work in dual SIM card mode, the connection is good, there is 3G. There are GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. The cameras are not bad for a tablet, I often use the main 5MP one. Well, the battery is capacious 4000 mAh. I liked the case included in the kit, there is also a headset, stylus, USB cable, OTG cable, network adapter and instructions.

What I didn't like

Everything is fine, only LTE is missing

What I liked

What I didn't like

What I liked

shust, camera 5 and 2 mp, IPS, battery 4000 mAh, equipment, price

What I didn't like

My tablet has no problems with hardware or programs.

What I liked

Fifth Android. Quad-core Atom C3 processor, runs fast. A noticeable body, but without bright inclusions. 8 gigabytes of memory, trouble-free installation of any flash media up to 32 gigabytes inclusive. Connecting additional devices via USB (OTG function).

What I liked

Lolipop!) Even Kitkat was already good enough that in terms of stability it could be compared with iOS, and 5.1, I’m not afraid of this word, is in no way inferior in optimization, or even better. Everything is smooth, the system flies on this hardware, no crashes or, God forgive me, reboots, no, stability and Android are now synonymous. Screen. 8 inches, HD resolution, viewing angle 170 degrees. What else does a budget tablet need? As for me - nothing, everything is fine. The sound is sufficient to make you want to watch movies with headphones. No more no less. The main camera is quite decent, and the front camera is not far behind.

What I didn't like

Minuses:
- The accelerometer does not always work correctly. I noticed this in certain runners. Maybe I calibrated something wrong, but sometimes it skews to the left.

What I liked

Pros: +fresh Android (most importantly, many security holes in the system have been patched and an item for selecting permissions for apps has been added) + HD IPS matrix. Not the ceiling and not the pinnacle of technology today, but quite a decent screen for an eight-inch + Intel Atom. The gain in performance compared to MTK tablets with approximately the same hardware is still unclear, but the gain in autonomy is approximately doubled. + Cameras! The photos are relatively good, which is quite surprising for a tablet. + Set. In addition to charging, there is an OTG cable, a case, a headset, and a stylus. The last thing - I have no idea why it is necessary in the 21st century, but so be it. Suddenly I decide to draw.

What I didn't like

1. Contents: charger and headset should be replaced immediately. I want to note that the power connector on the micro-USB tablet is deep, not all chargers will fit.
2. Battery: charging from the mains is extremely slow, approximately 15% - 1 hour.
3. Wi-fi - when watching cartoons in average quality, the Wi-Fi speed is not enough. Often the waffle simply choke and stops working. The Yandex page opens in 27 seconds.
3. Performance: the interface is very slow, jerks occur with any scrolling, applications take a long time to open - by the way, everything that can slow down here slows down. You can play Minion Rush more or less comfortably, but it’s better not to play harder.
4. The sound is dull, not rich.
5. Update:
- automatic update: the update jump reaches 94% and... that's it. To re-download the update, you need to do a hard reset.
- It is not possible to download the update on the website - it is not there.
6. Support is almost zero; there are no manuals, drivers, or firmware for the tablet on the support site; there is one in Moscow service center, which provides warranty service.
Camera: The camera on the phone with a resolution of 0.3 megapixels takes better pictures...

What I liked

1. Screen: rich, vibrant colors. The backlight is enough for viewing in the sun. 2. Under heavy loads it hardly heats up. 3. The sound is loud. 4. Battery: the child played all day, “watched” cartoons for 7 hours without a break until it was completely discharged.

What I didn't like

no critical ones. Is it that the buttons are inconveniently located?

What I liked

Tablet with 3G, on an Intel processor, with latest version(for today) Android and IPS matrix, which I bought for 6400 yesterday afternoon. I think it's great.

What I didn't like

I haven’t fully figured it out yet, but for now there are no shortcomings.

What I liked

Eight inches screen. CPU. Set price per tablet. Android Lolipop.

What I didn't like

What I liked

High-quality picture, 1 GB RAM, 4 Intel cores, 4000 mAh battery, IPS matrix, two SIM cards, price, Android 5.1

What I didn't like

4000 milliamp hours are burned in one working day.

A non-Apple tablet that performs decently.

A tablet computer came under our gaze bb-mobile Techno MOZG. This Russian brand has a lot of creativity in its names. What's it worth? "Iron Annushka" or let's say KALASH.

bb-mobile Techno MOZG became “twice first”. Firstly, this is the first 7.85-inch tablet in Russia on the Android operating system 5.1 . And, secondly, bb-mobile Techno MOZG became the first “tablet” on the domestic market based on the Intel® SoFIA™ platform. A powerful yet economical chipset is used Intel® Atom™ X3. The price of the new item is 8,490 rubles.

Design and controls

Whole metal case gives the tablet strength and has a positive effect on the design of the device.

The front side of the tablet is covered with scratch-resistant tempered glass. There is also a protective film.

The back panel of the bb-mobile Techno MOZG and its edges are made of a single piece of metal. Moreover, the body is provided with internal stiffeners. In other words, the “filling” of the tablet is reliably protected from damage in the event of a fall or impact. In addition, metal is much better than plastic at dissipating heat, which is generated under heavy loads on the hardware - for example, in 3D games.

We can also say only good things about the bb-mobile Techno MOZG assembly. The tablet looks and feels monolithic. There are no uneven joints, large gaps, much less backlash in the body parts. When twisted and squeezed, the gadget does not creak and, in principle, does not make any sounds.

The arrangement of elements on the body can be called familiar. So, above the display there is a speaker, a front camera, a light sensor and a proximity sensor. There are no complaints about the performance of the latest sensors. Auto brightness works correctly.

On the back of the bb-mobile Techno MOZG we see only the main camera lens, the rest is hidden from view.

There is a plastic insert at the top of the back. The insert hides the antennas of wireless modules, two compartments for SIM cards (mini-SIM + micro-SIM) and a slot for a memory card of the usual format - MicroSD. Also on the back of the tablet there is a brand logo, Intel® logo, serial number and other information.

The double volume control key is located on the right side of the tablet, and there is also a place for the power button. The listed keys, as well as the body of the gadget itself, made of metal.

The audio output for a 3.5 mm plug is located at the top end of the bb-mobile Techno MOZG. Let us clarify that the headset included in the package is not the cheapest. The sound quality in it is not bad, the microphone also did not cause any complaints.

On the bottom edge of the bb-mobile Techno MOZG there are two groups of holes, under which the speakers are located. Between them there was a place for a micro-USB connector.

Display

The hero of the article is equipped with a 7.85-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. It's not Full HD and certainly not Retina, but the image doesn't look grainy and the clarity is fine.

The matrix of the tablet is made using technology IPS, and the screen used here is not the cheapest, with the typical “diseases” of the mentioned technology (when viewed from an angle, the picture turns purple). The display boasts maximum wide viewing angles(178 degrees) and natural color rendering. The screen is decent for a gadget in this price segment.

Multitouch is, of course, supported; the display is capable of processing up to 5 simultaneous touches.

Hardware platform

bb-mobile Techno MOZG is based on the highly integrated Intel® SoFIA™ platform, namely - Intel® Atom™ x3-C3230RK. This chipset includes a 64-bit quad-core processor that runs at 1.3 GHz, as well as a graphics chip Mali-450 MP4.

Is it possible to call bb-mobile Techno MOZG nimble? Definitely. In the well-known AnTuTu, the device scores more than 20 thousand points:

The small amount of bb-mobile Techno MOZG RAM by today's standards - 1 GB - does not greatly affect the performance of the tablet. Everything works quickly both in the operating system environment and in “heavy” applications and games.

Modern 3D toys run and run on bb-mobile Techno MOZG without any problems. Those titles that provide a choice of graphics level allow you to set the maximum values. This does not in any way affect the “playability” - there is no FPS drop, no long loading times, or other annoying moments.

Built-in memory capacity of bb-mobile Techno MOZG – 8 gigabytes, of which 4.58 GB is available to the user. To be honest, today this volume seems insufficient for comfortable use of the tablet. Fortunately, the device provides memory card support. This accessory will definitely have to be purchased.

Operating system and software

bb-mobile Techno MOZG is the first 7.85-inch tablet in Russia with operating system Android 5.1 Lollipop. The advantages of this version are probably not worth describing too much. In a nutshell, in comparison with Android 4.X, gadgets on Android 5.1 received approximately 20% increase in productivity and a 20 percent increase in battery life.

The interface of the bb-mobile Techno MOZG operating system looks completely standard; the gadget does not use shells or other third-party “beauties”. Android can confidently be called “naked”. The only unusual thing to note is the transparent rather than white background of the application menu.

The developers of bb-mobile Techno MOZG decided not to clutter up the tablet’s memory with a bunch of unnecessary pre-installed applications and limited ourselves to the client "In contact with", a fully featured 30-day navigation program "Navitel" and several services from "Yandex".

Connection

bb-mobile Techno MOZG Equipped with an almost complete set of adapters wireless communication, if you do not take into account NFC and 4G. Thus, the tablet has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and GPS/GLONASS modules. There were no complaints about their work; everything was clear and stable.

Support of two systems at once - GLONASS and GPS– helps the tablet establish faster and more stable communications with satellites. Including in difficult conditions such as neighborhoods with dense buildings, where a “solo” GPS would have a hard time.

Two SIM card slots are needed not only for Internet access. bb-mobile Techno MOZG is capable of performing telephone functions. That is, the tablet is capable of receiving/making voice calls and exchanging SMS messages. Moreover, if you have large hands, you can talk on bb-mobile Techno MOZG like you would on an ordinary smartphone - simply by placing the device to your ear, or simply use a headset.

Autonomy

bb-mobile Techno MOZG is equipped with a non-removable 3,500 mAh battery. At first glance, this is not much. But one battery charge is enough more than a day's work in medium mode. Even if you use Brain very actively, it will still last a full working day.

We also add that on the bb-mobile Techno MOZG you can watch videos for more than 6 hours in a row or play modern 3D games for about 4.5 hours.

Camera

Probably the bb-mobile Techno MOZG cameras are the only thing we can simply say: nothing special. The tablet's main camera module is 5-megapixel, but without an auto-focus function. The quality of the images is not high, but it is enough to photograph text (for example, an announcement, schedule, etc.). Otherwise, the Techno MOZG definitely doesn’t pretend to be a bb-mobile camera.

The front camera of the tablet is 2 megapixel. For self-portraits, such resolution is not always enough - good lighting is necessary. But she copes with her direct responsibilities – video calls – quite well.

Those who are already familiar with bb-mobile brand tablets know that these gadgets are distinguished by a rich set of supplies. And the bb-mobile Techno MOZG model was no exception. The device package includes:

Tablet computer bb-mobile Techno MOZG;

microUSB-USB cable;
OTG cable (for connecting peripheral devices to the tablet);
Wired headset;
Convenient compact stylus;
Case-book;
Protective film (already pasted on the screen);

Bottom line

bb-mobile Techno MOZG became the first twice: the first tablet in Russia on the Intel® Atom™ X3 platform and the first 7.85-inch tablet with Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device makes a pleasant impression, this applies to both visual and tactile sensations, and operation in general.

TO strengths we'll take the gadget good level of performance, economical battery consumption, metal body and good screen. The Brain has no obvious shortcomings, except that I would like to see a larger amount of built-in memory and a main camera with a higher resolution.

The Business Bureau company does not abandon the tradition of giving its new devices non-standard names: the arsenal already includes TOPOL, “Iron Annushka”, MOLOTOFF and KALASH. It would seem that it would be difficult to be surprised by the names of new models, but now MOZG has also been released. Interesting new gadget primarily because this is the first tablet in Russia based on an Intel®Atom™ processor new series X3. In addition, this is the first 7.85-inch tablet with the latest version of the Android 5.1 operating system - Lollipop. This means that we can expect at least a reduction in energy consumption and extended battery life. It will be interesting to see what else a tablet computer can do bb-mobile Techno MOZG for 8,490 rubles.

Packaging and equipment

The compact cardboard packaging in which the device is supplied is decorated in Intel ® corporate colors: the same shade of blue is used. Unlike other devices from the Russian company Business Bureau, which are famous for their non-standard nature and, as a result, interesting packaging, the outward appearance of the box with the bb-mobile Techno MOZG does not look too flashy or remarkable.

But inside there is wealth. And you have a napkin for caring for the display and case, and a case, and a normal headset, which after the first use you don’t want to put back in the box and consign to oblivion, and an OTG cable for connecting peripherals. There is also a small stylus (useful in cold weather), a USB data cable, a fast 2-amp charger and papers: warranty, instructions.

Appearance and ergonomics

The body of the model is durable, “all-metal”. But, oddly enough, this did not make the tablet heavier: it weighs 318 grams, which for an almost 8-inch device, whose filling is so firmly protected from external confirmation, is rather less than much. Of course, you don’t need to get carried away with checking the impact resistance when trying to break a walnut shell with a gadget, but if it falls (not on the display, of course), it has a better chance of not crumbling in such a shell than its relatives in plastic cases. The body looks monolithic. It’s worth adding here that all-metal shock-resistant cases are a signature feature of bb-mobile tablets.

The bb-mobile Techno MOZG tablet is surprisingly thin: 7.5 mm. This option also makes the device more similar to phones and smartphones.

The front panel is equipped with a speaker protected by a grille, proximity and light sensors, and a selfie camera eye.

On the right side of the device there is a lock key and volume control buttons.

The top edge contains a headphone input, the bottom - multimedia speakers and a microUSB connector.

To install SIM cards and microSD cards, you will need to remove the plastic plug.

In general, the tablet turned out to be convenient and grippy: it’s convenient to use and not difficult to carry.

Screen

The display is covered with glass and protected by factory film. There is no need to glue it, everything has already been done by the manufacturer. The screen is easy to handle; the desire to tear off the film the next day does not appear, because it does not affect the operation of the touch display. All touches (up to five are supported simultaneously) are processed quickly and accurately.

The resolution of the bb-mobile Techno MOZG display is 1024 x 768 pixels. Of course, not the height of dreams at the end of 2015, but for a diagonal of 7.85 inches it is quite a normal value. If the resolution were higher, this would directly affect the battery life and performance of the gadget, taking into account budget restrictions. And if the manufacturer decided to install a “fattier” battery, then the grace of the thin case would be irretrievably lost. The automatic brightness adjustment does not cause any complaints.

Thanks to the IPS matrix, the image contrast is high. Color rendition is natural, even tilting the device does not cause significant color distortion. The only point is that white fades into the cold, bluish spectrum. But this is a common thing for screens on such a matrix.

Platform and performance

The Intel® Atom™ X3 processor, the heart of the system, is based on the new Intel® SoFIA architecture and is suitable for use in highly integrated devices. bb-mobile Techno MOZG is equipped with a 4-core Intel processor® Atom ™ x3-C3230RK with a frequency of 1.2 GHz and Mali 450 MP4 graphics. The built-in modem supports third generation networks.

bb-mobile Techno MOZG lives up to its name: modern 3D applications on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop system install and work quite quickly.

The Intel® Atom™ X3 processor C3230-RK supports 64-bit computing capabilities, which helps quick solution serious tasks. When tested in AnTuTu, the tablet pleases with stable average performance.

MOZG skillfully manages a gigabyte of RAM (a seemingly modest value). Even heavy applications on Android can run simultaneously without freezing. Switching between them occurs without delays or brakes.

Unfortunately, the built-in memory lets you down: only 8 GB, half of which is forever occupied with servicing the needs of the system. It’s better to immediately get a memory card, otherwise there will simply be nowhere to install powerful games and resource-intensive applications soon.

Software platform

It's nice that B-brand tablets are no longer considered laggards when it comes to Android versions. As already mentioned, in our country “Brain” became the first 7.85-inch tablet with Android 5.1. And this is an updated interface, higher performance even compared to release 5.0, improved security and other features. By the way, it was in version 5.1 that Android introduced “native” support for two or more SIM cards. Before this, modifications had to be done by chipset manufacturers. As in other bb-mobile tablets, in this case we see several applications for Yandex services, as well as the VKontakte client and a 30-day trial version of Navitel Navigator.

Wireless interfaces

There are no complaints about cellular communications: the speakers work well, but it is still better to use a headset, because talking on a tablet without it is an average pleasure for the user. The wireless communications suite works great.

By the way, bb-mobile Techno MOZG can replace a GPS navigator. The GPS-GLONASS module performs well: it starts within a minute or three (depending on the type of terrain) and works without losing the signal.

Like the vast majority of bb-mobile tablets, Technomozg can act as a smartphone (voice calls, SMS), and a satellite navigator (for example, in a car), and as a tablet itself. So to speak, a “three in one” device.

Autonomous operation

From a tablet positioned as a device with reduced energy consumption, you expect good battery life. The battery in the bb-mobile Techno MOZG has a capacity of 3500 mAh, and coupled with the processor and operating system, it reduces energy consumption by 20% compared to similar devices. So, if a few years ago, turned on wireless communications could completely discharge the device in a few hours of operation, now things are not so sad.

You can play on the tablet for 4 hours straight, setting the settings and brightness to maximum.

Continuous viewing of videos will drain the battery in 6-7 hours. Thanks to a special energy-saving mode, you can limit performance, thereby saving battery power. It is very convenient if you need to leave the city and, upon returning, stay in touch without worrying about quickly finding an outlet.

Cameras

Tablets in this price category are usually equipped with weak cameras. The bb-mobile Techno MOZG, on the contrary, has a very good main camera, 5 megapixel.

Photos taken in daylight are quite clear.

In the twilight, the images do not come out very artistic: the lack of flash and the small (physically) matrix have an effect. The front-facing 2-megapixel camera is useful for video conferencing, but it's best not to use it for selfies.

Conclusion

Operating the bb-mobile Techno MOZG tablet is easy and pleasant. Thanks to the metallized body, the “filling” feels protected. The package (case, normal headset and OTG cable) allows you to save the most important resource: time spent searching for the necessary “goodies”. The MOZG is fast and smooth in operation, the screen with normal color reproduction and brightness level makes the gadget both an assistant in work and a companion for games and entertainment. Thanks to slots for two SIM cards, you can even abandon your smartphone completely if you don’t mind the tablet’s dimensions.

Reduced energy consumption allows you to forget about the outlet for several days - depending on the intensity of use. By and large, the only annoying moment is the small amount of built-in memory, only 8 GB. The price of the model is 8,490 rubles.

Pros:

  • Metal body;
  • The latest OS and chipset;
  • Low cost;
  • Reduced energy consumption.

Minuses:

  • Not enough built-in memory.
